OMAHA – Premier 18 Gold continues to live up to its top seed in the 18 USA division of the January Thaw USAV Qualifier.
Premier went 3-0 on Saturday, sweeping Topeka Impact 181 25-22, 25-23 and NSSC 181 25-22, 25-6 before finishing off the day with a 25-17, 25-16 win over Rocky Select 18 Jackie to clinch the top seed in the championship tournament on Sunday.
With the top seed, Premier 18 Gold gets a first-round bye into the semifinals, where it will face either Milwaukee Sting 18 Black or Dynasty 18 Blue at 11:30 a.m.
The second seed for the tournament is MAVS 181, which also has a bye into the semifinals. MAVS 181 will face the winner of Invasion 18 Black and Rocky Select 18 Jackie.
Club Legacy 18 ROX went 1-2 on the day and will play in the Flight 1 tournament on Sunday.
