Badger Region Clubs Take On President’s Day Weekend

Across the country, President’s Day weekend is one of those weekends where there are multiple elite tournaments across the country!
College coaches send their coaching staffs to different tournaments to recruit, so they can maximize their “recruiting dates” allotted by the NCAA.
Here is a preview of some of the top President’s Day tournaments across the country that you can find a few elite Wisconsin clubs at.
Nike President’s Day Classic – This tournament is held in St. Louis, Missouri at the America Center. Some of the top clubs across the Midwest area are in attendance, including Wisconsin clubs Capital Volleyball Academy (8 teams), Wisconsin Juniors (7 teams), Midwest Penguins (2 teams), Milwaukee Sting (3 teams) and Motion Volleyball (1 team).
SPVB President’s Day Challenge – Held out of the Great Lakes Center in Aurora, Illinois, the Great Lakes Center is the home of Sports Performance Volleyball. They host prestige tournaments every weekend, including the Great Lakes Power League. They get teams from all across the Midwest and beyond. Some Wisconsin clubs that are in attendance this weekend will be Milwaukee Sting (5 teams), Wisconsin Premier (3 teams), Wisconsin Power (2 teams) and West Bend Power (1 team).
Triple Crown Volleyball NIT – Could be arguably the best tournament in the country. This tournament features west coast and southern club powerhouses, as well as some of the elite Midwest clubs. This could be the deepest field in the country as far as talent goes. This tournament will be attended by Milwaukee Sting (4 teams).
A few in-state President’s Day tournaments to look out for this weekend:
President’s Day Tournament — Hosted by WI Junior’s – Has 19 courts and some top Wisconsin and northern Illinois clubs located in Pleasant Prairie, WI.
JVA MKE Sting President’s Day Spectacular – Held in the Wisconsin Dells, primarily attended by Wisconsin clubs.
