SubscribeOMAHA – Nebraska’s hopes for a champion in the 15 Open division of the President’s Day Classic ride with solely with Nebraska Elite 15 Revolution.
At the end of competition on the second day of the tournament, Elite Revolution is the only team left in title contention from Nebraska, but it still has work to do.
In Pool 1 of the 15 Open division, Revolution currently leads at 6-0, but both Northern Lights 151 and Dynasty 141 are sitting at 5-1 with each team having one match left to play in the pool on Monday morning. The top two teams in each pool advance to the four-team championship bracket later on Monday.
Elite Revolution takes on Dynasty 141 at 8 a.m. Sunday, so a win automatically sends it into the championship bracket, while a loss combined with a potential win by Northern Lights 151 over Nebraska Juniors 151 tomorrow morning would produce a three-way tie atop the pool and could- theoretically – leave Revolution out of the championship bracket.
Nebraska Juniors 151 currently sits at 3-3 and can finish as high as fourth in the pool.
In Pool 2, Dynasty 151 and FSJ 15 National have secured the top two spots in the pool. Premier 15 Black and Club Legacy 15 ROX are each sitting at 3-3 in Pool 2 and both could finish as high as third. VCNebraska 15 Elite is at 2-4 right now.
