Sabrina Starks is a senior at Platteview High School. As a standout player at Platteview, she hit .393 and had 367 kills last season. Sabrina is ranked 8th in the Prep Dig Nebraska Class of 2018 rankings and will attend the University of Pittsburgh to continue her volleyball and academic career after graduation. Here is my interview with Sabrina:
What is your favorite thing to do when the weather is nice?
“Go out and hang with friends and to play with my dog Nanna.”
What makes you most excited to go to Pittsburgh?
“I’m really looking forward to enjoying the game of volleyball in a new setting with new teammates and coaches. I can’t wait to be in the city of Pittsburgh!”
What do you love most about Platteview?
“It’s a small school where everybody knows everybody and we support each other.”
If you could describe yourself with a color, what would it be?
“Burgundy, because it’s a color you wouldn’t think of right away and it’s a mix of colors.”
Describe your perfect day.
“A snow day because I love winter. A perfect snow day would be by the fireplace with some hot cocoa watching a movie…. as long as the power doesn’t go out.”
What is something not many people know about you?
“When I was 9 years old I got interviewed on ESPN because of my cousin, Candace Parker.”
What is your favorite T.V./ Netflix show?
“Bob’s Burgers.”
What is your favorite animal?
“Snow Leopard.”
If you could eat anything for the rest of your life, what would it be?
“Chinese Food.”
What is something that you are good at (not athletic related)?
“Puzzles.”
