<p>Wisconsin sent 13 teams to compete in Anaheim last weekend, with 6 teams in the 4 Qualifying divisions and 7 teams in the non-qualifying Patriot Division. Part 4 is a quick recap of how Motion Volleyball 18 Blu and SWVBC G18 did in the USAV 18s Junior National Championships while competing in the American Division. </p>
<p><strong><u>AMERICAN DIVISION</u></strong></p>
<p><strong>SWVBC G18 – FINISHED 29<sup>TH </sup>OUT OF 64</strong></p>
<p><strong> </strong>SWVBC G18 played a majority of their season in Illinois, played quite a few teams that competed in the higher divisions, and they held their own. SWVBC started out on Friday (4/27) afternoon with a couple of wins in their opening matches. First, they defeated EliteVBTC 18 Katie (25-23, 25-23) and then ACAD 18 White North (25-19, 25-18). They wrapped up the day with a loss to GA5 18 – April (24-26, 25-22, 10-15). SWVBC ended up with a 2-1 record, which placed them 2<sup>nd</sup> in their Friday pool. </p>
<p> On Saturday morning, SWVBC played in a tough Saturday pool where they took 3 tough losses. The first loss came to AVA TX 18 Team Rox (15-25, 12-25) followed by a struggle with ZIVA 18 National (10-25, 21-25). They finished Saturday with a battle and a loss to EXCEL 18 National White (26-28, 25-22, 13-15). </p>
<p>The 0-3 record for the day placed SWVBC 4<sup>th</sup> in their Saturday pool. SWVBC played in the Flight 1 Bracket A Sunday. Their weekend ended with a loss to A5 South 18-Jason (25-19, 25-27, 11-15). With a 2-5 record, SWVBC placed 29<sup>th</sup> out of 64 teams. They faced some tough competition, such as ZIVA 18 National out of Texas who placed 2<sup>nd</sup> in the American division. ZIVA holds an impressive 33-6 record playing in qualifiers and this national competition. SWVBC finished up a competitive season in California, and we wish the best of luck to those playing at the next level in the Fall!</p>

<p><strong>MOTION VOLLEYBALL 18 BLU – FINISHED 41<sup>ST</sup> OUT OF 64</strong></p>
<p>Motion Volleyball 18 Blu had a jam packed schedule this season playing some of the top teams in the Midwest. They started out on Friday (4/27) afternoon with a pair of losses to SA STING 18 BLACK (13-25, 22-15) and EXCEL 18 National White (17-25, 26-24, 13-15). Immediately after their battle with EXCEL, Motion turned around and had a decisive win over Club Gold 18-1 Blue (25-18, 25-15). With a 1-2 record, Motion placed 3<sup>rd</sup> in their Friday pool.</p>
<p> Saturday (4/28) afternoon, Motion started out with a pair of solid wins over WPVC 18 Elite Black (25-14, 25-18) and NSSC 181 (25-17, 25-16). Motion ended their Saturday pool losing a tough battle with EliteVBTC 18 Katie (26-24, 20-25, 8-15). Their 2-1 finish placed them 2<sup>nd</sup> in their pool and placed them in Flight 3 Bracket A.</p>
<p> Sunday (4/29) started off with a 3-set win for Motion against Topeka Impact 18-1 (25-23, 13-25, 15-7). Motion continued on to win the Flight 3 Bracket A with another solid win against Renaissance 18 Black (25-22, 25-18). With a 5-3 record for the weekend, Motion placed 41<sup>st</sup> out of 64 teams. Motion had a tough pool with teams like SA STING 18 BLACK (San Antonio, TX). Sting holds a 41-19 record and finished 13<sup>th</sup> in the American division. Sting has players that will be continuing on in the fall at Alcorn State, Dallas, East Texas Baptist, Eastern New Mexico, Huston-Tillotson, Panola College, Tarleton, Trinity, UT-San Antonio, and UT-Tyler. Motion finished with a 49-22 record playing in California, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Missouri, and Wisconsin. Good luck to the Motion Blu players in the fall!</p>
