SubscribeIt’s officially summer time, and with that, it’s time to send off our 2018 players with the final rankings of their high school careers.
We’ve updated the Class of 2018 rankings now that their senior years of high school – and club volleyball – are over. Each day we will release more rankings until we get to the top five.
For now, here are the players that finished ranked #36-40. Congrats to them all and best of luck in the future! Thanks for all you did to make high school volleyball in Nebraska so amazing!
#36 – Lauren Isenberg, 5’10, RS, Omaha Marian (Nebraska Elite) – committed to Tulsa
Perhaps no player in the state had their stock rise as much in the last 12-18 months as Isenberg. She took just 35 varsity swings before bursting on the scene her senior year at Omaha Marian to be one of the most efficient right sides in the state. Although undersized at 5’10, Isenberg’s volleyball IQ allowed her to play much bigger and resulted in her 195 kills with a .292 hitting percentage and 49 solo blocks. She is a preferred-walk on for Tulsa.
#37 – Clara Lamb, 6’3, RS, Omaha Westside (Premier) – committed to Illinois-Chicago
Blessed with great height and a solid frame from a young age, Lamb has been well known in the volleyball community for quite a while. She finished her career at Omaha Westside with 550 kills, including a team-best 259 as a senior to go along with 112 career solo blocks. Ironically, one of her first college matches will take place back in Omaha as Chicago-Illinois takes part in the Omaha Challenge July 31-Aug. 1.
#38 – Riley Newton, 5’4, Libero, Elkhorn South (VCNebraska)
When you play in 395 sets over the course of your volleyball career, it says a lot about your talent, all-around game and success you bring to your squad. Such is the case with Newton, who has been a defensive wizard for the Storm since her freshman year. In that time, Newton amassed 1,314 digs, 1,778 serve receptions and 144 ace serves while serving at over 92% in her career.
#39 – Delaney Saucier, 5’7, Setter, Skutt Catholic (Premier) – committed to Arkansas Tech
Saucier spent two years as the back-up to All-Stater All Schomers before getting her chance to start for Skutt as a senior and the Arkansas Tech recruit made the most of it in leading the Skyhawks to another state title. In 2017 she finished with 1,411 assists, 114 digs and 42 ace serves. She also ran the offense for the Premier 18 Gold team which qualified for USAV Nationals.
#40 – Kamryn Pullen, 6’3, MH, Omaha North (Nebraska Elite)
Pullen played in relative obscurity for Omaha North, but there is no doubting her ability and potential. She also happens to be one of the smartest students in the state, which took a priority for her over a potential volleyball scholarship, otherwise she would have been a big-time recruit. She finished her career with Omaha North with 557 kills and 98 solo blocks.
