SubscribeIt’s officially summer time, and with that, it’s time to send off our 2018 players with the final rankings of their high school careers.
We’ve updated the Class of 2018 rankings now that their senior years of high school – and club volleyball – are over. Each day we will release more rankings until we get to the top.
For now, here is the player that finished #7. Congrats and best of luck in the future! Thanks for all you did to make high school volleyball in Nebraska so amazing!
#7 – Rylee Marshall, 6’1, OH/MH, Fort Calhoun (Nebraska Elite) – committed to Omaha
Marshall doesn’t have complete stats from her high school career on MaxPreps to serve as an indication of just how good she was during her time at Fort Calhoun, but if you ever saw her play you know she was one of the best in the state. And, if you didn’t get a chance to see her in action, you’re just going to have to take our word for it.
Marshall is a very intriguing prospect for Omaha as she has the ability to play at the pins or in the middle. She mostly played in the middle during her time in high school and club, but Omaha has a pair of very talented sophomore-to-be players in the middle already, so there is a definitely possibility she could be an impact player at the pins for the Mavericks.
Marshall is a strong presence at the set with the size and strength to wear down opponents while putting up a punishing block or attack. Her quickness is above average and was often on display in high school as the team would sometimes leave just her at the net to block, covering from pin to pin.
As a senior, Marshall posted 482 kills and 172 total blocks, and for her career, she owns 1,458 kills and 628 stops at the net.
“Rylee is a huge force above the net. She will be a very powerful attacker and a skilled blocker for our program,” Omaha coach Rose Shires said of Marshall.
