They play smart, run a fast offense, and have an insanely powerful offense.
Their only loss, to ID Crush 17 Nat Hartman (IM) remains undefeated in the tournament. The match was fast and hitters exchanged massive blows. Both blockers and passers kept up with the pace though and the team almost came back to win it in the last few points.
Though every single player made a difference and contributed to the win, a few stood out.
Caroline Dragani (Setter, Waukesha Catholic Memorial High School, Committed to Portland State): Caroline moves the ball around fast. She knows the court and she knows her hitters. Caroline is fun to watch and a beast on the court.
Maggie Cartwright (Right Side, Kimberly High School, Committed to Arkansas): If there is one word to describe Maggie it is POWER. She has a nearly unstoppable left cut shot and a consistent, well placed block.
Addison Barnes (Outside Hitter, Neenah High School, Committed to Loyola University). When Addison takes an approach on the ball she flies. Her high vertical combined with her great ball control makes her a threat to any team they play. Addison is also strong on defense and has a powerful, well placed serve.
Hannah Vanden Berg (Outside Hitter, Little Chute High School, Committed to Marquette): Hannah is an amazing player to watch on the court. She is over six feet of raw volleyball talent and athleticism. Several of her hits were never even touched by the other team. She plays all the way around and is a strong passer and server as well.
This team is extremely talented and the rest of the roster includes Elizabeth Gregorski (committed to UW-Madison), Casey Bell (committed to Loyola University), Kayla Kraus (committed to Loyola University), Adrianne Hagen (Hortonville, Uncommitted), Grace Mans (Fort Atkinson, Uncommitted), and Tiffany Paalman (Appleton East, Uncommitted).
Keep an eye out for them the rest of USAV Nationals and through their high school seasons. They are sure to make a massive impact on any team they play on now and in the future.
