This week players are preparing for their high school season by getting in a variety of different camps. While there are teams participating at the Milwaukee Sting Team Camp, down the road Adversity is running their Tournament Camp at the Adversity Training Center in Germantown. This is a camp that has been running for 16 years and has had some stellar players participate. August 6th-9th they are running their older age groups, and there are some real up and comers working hard here. Let’s check some out!

11am-2pm Session

Allison Noll – 2021 – 5’6” – Setter/Outside Hitter – Hustisford – Adversity 15-1

Noll was the only freshman on a small roster for Hustisford in 2017, and she played in over half the sets on that varsity squad. With the graduation of some key seniors, Noll should be taking on a bigger role and is putting in the work to make the most of it. I’m looking forward to see what Hustisford can do this season against tough conference competitors, Central Wisconsin Christian and Lourdes Academy.

Lauren Sielski – 2021 – 5’6” – Outside Hitter/Right Side – Kewaskum – Adversity 15-1

Sielski just got a taste of varsity for Kewaskum last season, but with the graduation of 6 seniors, there should be a bigger role for Sielski in 2018 as a pin hitter. Kewaskum placed 2nd in the East Central Conference behind a very tough Kettle Moraine Lutheran in 2017, so it should be fun to see what they can bring this season!

3-6pm Session

Sydnie Stadler – 2021 – Ozaukee – Wisconsin Premier 15 Teal

Stadler is another strong attacker that played a majority of the Varsity sets in 2017 and led Ozaukee with 45 aces and also contributed 139 kills and 216 digs. With the graduation of 5 seniors, I would expect Stadler will take a bigger leadership role and help push Ozaukee into a solid 2018 campaign.

[player_tooltip player_id="80290" first="Lexi" last="Cross"] – 2020 – 5’10” – Middle Blocker - Sussex Hamilton – Adversity 16-1

Cross got a good taste of varsity last season with a struggling Sussex Hamilton group. They only graduated 3, so there may be some opportunity. From the sounds of it, this Sussex Hamilton group has been working hard this summer, so I am looking forward to see what Cross and the Chargers can do in 2018.

Mia Oleshko – 2020 – 5’7” - Setter/Right Side – Hartford – River City 16 Blue

Hartford is graduating 7 seniors, so Oleshko could be stepping in as the 2nd setter in a 6-2 after playing a third of the varsity sets last season. This may be a bit of a rebuild, but after taking 2nd in the North Shore conference in 2017, I’m guessing their expectations won’t be lowered.

Hailey Hasenberg – 2019 – 5’5” – Defensive Specialist/Libero – Kewaskum – WILD 17s

Hasenberg led Kewaskum with 418 digs and took a majority of serve receptions. She will most likely take a large leadership role as a senior vet in 2018 and work to top the East Central Conference. Hasenberg will look to repeat as the conference leader in digs.
