SubscribeThe 2nd day of the Cedar Rapids Kennedy High School team camp did not disappoint. Teams on day two included Iowa City West, Jefferson, Kennedy, Union, Benton, Mount Vernon, Solon, and Janesville. Here’s a look at a few of the stand out players from Saturday’s scrimmage.
Maddy Baxter – S – Jefferson – Baxter sees the court well and makes smart, quick decisions. Baxter will lead the offense for Jefferson as she did last season with her 1055 assists.
Kaylee Donner – Libero – Jefferson – the J-Hawks defense will be led by Donner in the back row. The UNI recruits speed and fantastic ball control are a huge asset to her team.
Grace Martensen – OH – Benton – Martensen is athletic with a powerful swing, she led her team with 296 kills last season. She communicates well with her team and is a solid 6 position player for Benton.
Bree Thompson – OH – Janesville – a powerhouse hitter who attacks from every position Thompson was the 1A All Tournament Captain and 1A Player of the Year last season.
