<p>The required 5 days of practice are in. Scrimmages started up on Saturday, August 18th. Coaches are fine tuning starting line-ups for their first matches. New leaders have stepped up and young rock stars are showing their stuff. Time to start seeing if the hard work put in during the off-season was enough. Here are the 5 events in the spotlight for the week of August 20th-26th. </p>
<p><strong><u>HOMESTEAD TRIANGULAR – Tuesday, August 21st</u></strong></p>
<p>Homestead will be hosting Kettle Moraine Lutheran (KML) and Brookfield Central for a triangular. This should make for some great match-ups after KML graduated 4 key pieces. Last year KML took out Homestead 3-0 and Brookfield Central 2-1, but a new season brings new opportunities.</p>

<p><strong><u>CROIX CENTRAL QUAD – Tuesday, August 21st</u></strong></p>
<p>St. Croix is hosting Prescott, River Falls and Stanley-Boyd for an interesting quad. While River Falls graduated some big fire power, they have big guns returning for a big season. Stanley-Boyd graduated 6 key pieces, but St. Croix Central is returning quite a bit and may prove to be the best competition for River Falls in this quad.</p>

Last year the bottom 2 were Wausau Newman and Catholic Memorial, both of which made trips to the Resch Center once again. Pool play gets under way at noon on Friday!</p>

<p><strong><u>MENOMONIE SPRAWL - Friday, August 24th-Saturday, August 25th</u></strong></p>

<p> </p>
<p><strong><u>WARHAWK OPEN - Friday, August 24th-Saturday, August 25th</u></strong></p>
<p>Whitewater will host a total of 27 teams competing from all over the state. There is a great mix of divisions in this one, and it gives lots of opportunities to see new teams. Last year Lakeside Lutheran took 2nd behind Franklin, and I would like to see a rematch between those two this year. </p>
