Seniors aren’t the only ones making statements and showing their stuff so far this season. Let’s first take a look at 6 of Wisconsin’s most efficient hitters from the 2020 recruiting class that are still available. These will be some must-see players from across the state!

From The Class Of 2020

[player_tooltip player_id="80155" first="Jacqueline" last="Smith"] – 2020 – 5’11 – Outside Hitter/Defensive Specialist – Northland Pines (15-11)

Smith is in her 3rd season on varsity and just recently recorded her 1,000th kill on September 20th. She also recorded a career high 36 kills in the Eagles 1-3 loss to Mosinee. Even more impressive for Smith is that she is currently hitting a .462 this season. She has a crazy high reach, fast swing, and has grown as a player a ton already, and she still has a ton of potential to develop.

[player_tooltip player_id="80151" first="Halle" last="Olson"] – 6’2 – Outside Hitter – River Falls (26-1)

Olson is a driving force in a well-balanced attack for the Wildcats. She leads her squad with 193 kills and should have no problem getting to the 1,000 kill mark this year. Olson is currently hitting a .391 and is on pace to record almost 400 kills this season.

Carly Clausen – 6’0 – Middle Blocker – Catholic Memorial (31-5)

Clausen is part of a deadly 1-2 punch with senior [player_tooltip player_id="33061" first="Jenna" last="Weinfurt"] for the Crusaders. Her team has so many weapons, and they run a really balanced attack, but Clausen has managed to still tally 201 kills so far this season. Clausen hit an impressive .727, getting 8 kills on 11 attempts with no errors, in early August in their 2-0 win over Union Grove.

[player_tooltip player_id="80225" first="Aubrey" last="Schoeneman"] – 5’11 – Outside Hitter/Middle Blocker/Setter – Mercer (21-5)

Schoeneman is the driving force for Mercer this season. She leads the Tigers with 276 kills while hitting a .341. Schoeneman recorded a career high 19 kills this past week in their 3-0 win over Butternut.

[player_tooltip player_id="80171" first="Emily" last="Bruckshen"] – 5’11 – Pin Hitter – Howards Grove (22-7)

Howard Grove has a young squad and a lot of strength in their underclassmen. One of the upperclassmen who is helping lead this squad is Bruckshen. She hits a solid .340 and recorded a season high 14 kills twice at the beginning of August.

Abigail Nemec – 5’8 – Middle Blocker/Outside Hitter – Hillsboro (14-11)

Nemec is having a breakout season as she is currently on pace to have an almost 300 kill season if she can get Hillsboro deep into the post season. Along with senior, Jessica Mitchell, Nemec leads the Tigers in the attack. Nemec is currently hitting a .338 and has 175 kills on the season so far.
