Maizy Jackson 6’0 OH | Benilde-St. Margaret’s | 2019
BSM defeated Woodbury 3-2 in a terrific come-from-behind effort. Set scores were 19-25, 23-25, 25-23, 25-19, 15-11. Jackson contributed to the late rally in recording her 1,000th career kill. The 2017 Metro West all-conference and 3A all-state honorable mention selection is committed to play at the University of Northern Iowa.
Makayla Arendt 5’10 RS | Zumbrota-Mazeppa | 2019
Medford defeated Zumbrota-Mazeppa in a hard fought five-set contest with set scores of 15-25, 25-22, 25-22, 18-25, 15-13. In the losing effort Arendt led Zumbrota-Mazeppa’s competitive effort with 12 kills, nine blocks, and six digs.
Lauren Lawston OH | Rushford-Peterson | 2019 and Alyvia Eide DS | Rushford Peterson | 2021
Rushford-Peterson defeated Dover-Eyota in a Three Rivers league match with set scores of 25-17, 25- 22, 25-13. Lawston, a returning 2017 all-conference honorable mention selection, led a balanced attack with 11 kills and 15 digs on the night. Eide, just a sophomore, led the defense with 17 digs for the match.
Reilly Wahlers OH | Cook County | 2019
After dropping the first set to Floodwood, Cook County rebounded with three straight set wins to claim the victory. Wahlers contributed 10 kills and 25 digs in the Cook County effort. Set scores were 22-25, 26-24, 25-16, 25-19.
Tori Bott 5’11 OH | Two Harbors | 2019
Bott, a Two Harbors three-sport standout, delivered 16 kills in the three-set 25-12, 25-13, 25-20 win over Lakeview Christian Academy. She is a returning 2017 Polar League big school 2nd team all-conference selection
Brynne Mickle 5’5 S | Carlton | 2020
Carlton defeated South Ridge in straight sets 25-14, 25-15, 25-15. Mickle distributed a balanced offense that saw four hitters achieve either six or seven kills on the evening. She finished the match with 34 assists in guiding Carlton to the win. Mickle was a Polar League small schools 1st team all-conference selection in 2017.
