Jazlynn Prins OH | SWMNC | 2020 and Sommer Schaap S | SWMNC | 2019
A big night by the duo of Prins and Schaap carried Southwest Minnesota Christian to a 3-2 win over Heron Lake-Okabena. Set scores were 25-16, 25-16, 23-25, 22-25 and 15-13. Prins amassed 23 kills and 21 digs as Schaap took care of the offense with 47 assists while collecting 19 digs of her own. Prins is a returning 2017 Red Rock all-conference selection.
Ellie Danielson 5’10 MH | Minnewaska | 2020 and Sara Geiser S | Minnewaska | 2020
Minnewaska defeated Benson 3-2 in a West Central Conference match. 2017 all-conference selection Danielson let the team with a big-time effort totaling 26 kills and 21 digs. Geiser contributed 39 assists and 22 digs in the 25-19, 25-27, 25-23, 12-25, 16-14 victory.
Karli Arkell 6’1 MH | Red Rock Central | 2022
Red Rock Central won the back-and-forth match over Murray County Central 3-2 with extra points needed along the way. Just a freshman and a bright future ahead, Arkell led Red Rock Central with 15 kills, 15 digs, and four blocks. Set scores were 18-25, 21-25, 31-29, 25-18, 19-17.
Karsee Kampsen 5’9 S | Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa | 2021
Kampsen had another big night and is proving herself to be one of the best setters in the west central area. Tuesday’s effort included 52 assists as BBE beat New London-Spicer. The Jaguars improve to 13-2 on the season, 6-0 in conference play. It was a battle as BBE eventually claimed the win with scores of 25-20, 26-28, 25-17, 23-25, 15-9.
Lily Pearson MB | Fergus Falls | 2019 and Hallie Sheridan 5’7 | Fergus Falls | 2019
Trailing 2-1, Fergus Falls rallied behind Pearson and Sheridan to defeat St. Cloud Apollo in a 3-2 Central Lakes Conference win with set scores of 25-19, 22-25, 26-28, 25-22, 15-7. The Otters got 22 kills and seven blocks from Pearson and an additional 18 kills from Sheridan. Pearson is a 2017 all-conference honorable mention selection.
Meeghen Dahlager MB | YME | 2019 and Mackenzie Dyrdahl MB | YME | 2019
Yellow Medicine East earned a hard-fought win by beating MACCRAY 25-18, 23-25, 25-23, 25-20. Dahlager racked up 21 kills and 17 digs as Dyrdahl, a 2017 Camden South all-conference selection, picked up 13 digs to go along with 13 kills.
Jasmyn Kronback OH | Montevideo | 2020 and Cali Christianson OH | Montevideo | 2019
The outside hitter tandem of Kronback and Christianson carried Montevideo to the 3-2 West Central Conference victory over Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta. After claiming the first set, Montevideo quickly found themselves down 1-2 as Morris took control. Behind Kronback’s 19 kills and Christianson’s 16 kills and 30 digs, Montevideo would come back to take sets four and five convincingly with scores of 25-14 and 15-11.
