Conference play has been heating up and tournament battles have been happening throughout the state at all levels. Prep Dig has been having a blast hearing from our followers on Twitter and Facebook and sharing your successes. Let’s take a quick look at what has happened in Week 4 (September 10th-September 15th) of the high school season.

Ari Miller – 2019 – 6’2 – Middle Blocker – Kettle Moraine Lutheran (KML) – Committed to UW-Milwaukee

Miller led KML to a win over Campbellsport by hitting a .640, making only 2 errors out of 25 attempts while recording a season high 18 kills. Week 4 has not been her only productive week. Miller is hitting a .448 with 188 kills and 56 blocks so far this season against some really formidable competition.

[player_tooltip player_id="10329" first="Aubrey" last="Hamilton"] – 2020 – 6’2 - Outside Hitter – Arrowhead – Committed to Notre Dame

Clearly losing last weekend helped Arrowhead as they went on a tear this weekend winning 6 straight matches to win the Charger Rally. [player_tooltip player_id="10329" first="Aubrey" last="Hamilton"] is a huge piece of this team, and while I don’t have her stats from this weekend, without them she is already at 283 kills for the season. Arrowhead definitely made a statement with their 27-3 record so far this season.

Mckenzie Winker – 2019 – 5’10 - Outside Hitter – Holmen – Committed to Viterbo

Claire Eade – 2019 – 5’4 – Defensive Specialist/Libero – Holmen – Not Committed

Winker is currently averaging 6 kills per set after having a really solid week. Holmen went 4-0 this past week with Winker recording a career high 31 kills and Eade tallying a career high of 24 digs in their 3-1 win over Sparta. Winker currently leads Holmen (22-2) with 234 kills and 41 aces, while Eade leads the Vikings with 300 digs.

[player_tooltip player_id="81283" first="Tatum" last="Kebisek"] – 2022 – 5’8 – Setter – Brookfield Central – Not Committed

Central has been playing some of the toughest teams around. There really isn’t a whole lot of fluff to their schedule, and this past week was no different. Kebisek, as a freshman, is running a 5-1 and led her team in going 4-4 this week, while adding 142 assists, to bring her season total to 517 assists so far.

[player_tooltip player_id="33124" first="Madelyn" last="Kohn"] – 2019 – 5’9 - Setter/Outside Hitter – Randolph – Not Committed

Kohn has led Randolph to a 14-4 record so far this season, including going 7-0 this past week. Kohn had a bit of a rough start to the season with some limited playing time but is currently averaging almost 10 assists per set. Should be interesting to see what the rest of the season looks like.

[player_tooltip player_id="33132" first="Bailey" last="Thompson"] – 2019 – 5’7 – Outside Hitter – Mercer – Not Committed

Thompson has lead Mercer (16-3) in a big way this week. Every play begins behind the service line, and when Thompson is back there, she has been lethal. Mercer went 2-0, while Thompson recorded 35 aces this week. Before this week, she was averaging just over an ace per set, but she found a whole new level this past week while recording a career high 20 aces in their 3-0 win over Solon Springs on Thursday.

Taylor Widiker – 2019 – 5’5 - Setter – Birchwood – Not Committed

Birchwood (10-4) had a solid week going 2-0. Widiker has been a driving force at the service line averaging almost 2 aces per set. She recorded a career high 14 aces in their 3-0 win over Cornell. Widiker currently leads her team with 56 aces and 196 assists.

Sara Dax – 2019 –6’1 - Middle Blocker – Kewaunee – Committed to Michigan Tech (Basketball)

Dax has control of the Storm’s net with 91 total blocks so far this season. Kewaunee went 3-4 this week, while Dax recorded a season high of 9 blocks in their 2-0 win over Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah. Dax is a driving force for Kewaunee, while leading the Storm with 140 kills and 91 blocks.

Courtney Knutson – 2019 – 5’10 – Middle Blocker – Milton – Not Committed

Milton (20-5) had a good showing at the UW-Oshkosh Showdown, winning their pool and winning their first Gold bracket match before losing to a strong Verona group. Last week we highlighted Abbey Falk from Milton for her blocking, and this week we look at Knutson because before this week, she had 80 blocks, averaging almost 2 blocks per set. Milton certainly has a couple of gems with their 2 middle blockers.

Grace Antifinger – 2021 – 5’5 – Libero – Catholic Central – Not Committed

Catholic Central (17-7) had a good week going 5-2. Antifinger racked up 118 digs this week and currently leads her team and the state with 365 digs. This is not too bad a showing for her first year on varsity as a sophomore.
