HASTINGS – Elkhorn South continued its impressive run run during October with a 25-20, 25-14, 25-14 sweep at Hastings on Thursday night.
Elkhorn South, 24-7 and ranked #2 in Class B, improved to 5-0 in October with the win over Class B #7 Hastings, which fell to 23-4 with the loss.
Elkhorn South’s Ibi Green had an outstanding match with 12 kills on .474 hitting with two-and-a-half blocks. Rylee Gray added 10 kills and two-and-a-half blocks and Logan Connealy had seven kills. Lauren Dvorak had three ace serves for the Storm while Jordan McCormick and Estella Zatechka each had 15 digs. Madi Woodin finished with 29 assists.
Cece Beahm led Hastings with nine kills and two blocks while Dacey Sealy had seven kills and 10 digs and Haley Scram had five kills and two-and-a-half blocks. Kamri Adler led the Tigers with 13 digs and Hope Kohmetscher added 22 assists.
