<p>Another step closer to the postseason for many teams as we approach the final phase of conference play. Here are some highlights from Thursday's matches.</p>
<p><strong>Lexi Hockel OH | Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta | 2020</strong>, <strong>Bailey Marty OH | Morris | 2019</strong> and <strong>Riley Decker Lib | Morris | 2019</strong><br />
The Tigers avenged an earlier five-set loss with their own 3-2 victory over 2A #7 ranked Sauk Centre. Hockel and Marty were key offensive threats providing 19 and 15 kills respectively for the winners. Decker led the Tigers' defense with 35 digs with Marty picking up 26. Set scores were 25-15, 25-23, 11-25, 22-25, and 15-11. </p>
<p><strong>Meeghan Dahlager MB | YME | 2019</strong> and <strong>Mackenzie Dyrdahl MB | YME | 2019</strong><br />
Dahlager continues to shine for Yellow Medicine East as she led her team to a 3-2 victory over Redwood Valley by set scores of 20-25, 25-20, 25-20, 14-25, and 15-9. Dahlager's numbers included 22 kills, 15 digs, and two service aces. Dyrdahl added 17 kills and 15 digs of her own. YME improves to 18-5 overall.</p>
<p><strong>Erika Roderick S | Alexandria | 2020</strong><br />
Roderick led the Cardinals' offense with 44 assists. However, it was not enough as Brainerd defeated Alexandria in a close 3-1 contest. After dropping set one in extra points, Brainerd rallied to control the remainder of the match to win by set scores of 25-27, 25-20, 25-23, 25-17. Brainerd improves to 9-2 in Central Lakes Conference play while Alexandria falls to 6-5.</p>
<p><strong>Claire Vekich MB | Greenway | 2020</strong> and <strong>Erin Gustason S | Greenway | 2019</strong><br />
Led by the sophomore Vekich and her 29 kills, Greenway defeated Virginia 3-1. Gustason also had a big night with 46 assists. Set results were 25-17, 20-25, 25-17, 30-28. </p>
<p><strong>Makenna Steffel OH | BOLD | 2019</strong><br />
BOLD, Minnesota's #8 ranked 1A team, pulled out a tough 3-2 win over Montevideo 25-20, 23-25, 20-25, 25-12, and 15-13. Steffel provided 23 kills, 19 digs, and two blocks for BOLD, which improved to 21-2 overall. </p>
<p><strong>Piper Asche MH | MACCRAY | 2019</strong>, <strong>Danni Burns OH | MACCRAY | 2019</strong> and <strong>Sydney Thein S | MACCRAY</strong><br />
Asche and Burns provided big efforts for MACCRAY in defeating Russell-Tyler-Ruthton, setting up a Camden Conference championship match with top-ranked 1A Minneota on Monday. Asche hammered 20 kills and Burns terminated 15 kills while collecting 22 digs. Thein dished out 45 assists in the win. Set scores were 26-24, 25-21, 21-25, 25-21.
