Seniors at this point have so many emotions going on right now. They’ve already been having a lot of “lasts”, and this upcoming weekend will be no different. Then there are the questions of “What’s Next”? To the Seniors who are still trying to decide...just enjoy it. Enjoy the weekend, enjoy being with your team, and soak in the experience of playing the state tournament. However, for the college coaches reading this, you might want to give these seniors a call because they definitely have a future at the next level.

Elle Shult - Oconomowoc - Middle Blocker

Shult is a 6’3 physical middle blocker and could even play on the right side with a strong block and the ability to be very terminal off one foot. For the Raccoons this year she has over 200 kills with a .433 hitting efficiency, and has over 100 total blocks. She has been playing with setter, Tayler Alden in the offseason as well for VC United in Rockford, Illinois. Oconomowoc will be playing Sun Prairie where they have met once earlier this season with Oconomowoc winning 15-13 in the third set.

Katelyn Sesolak - Arrowhead - Middle Blocker

Sesolak has been a consistent force for the Warhawks all season. A smart and savvy athlete, Sesolak had the game winning block against Hamilton in the sectional semifinal to finish the five set marathon. Sesolak has been consistently good every time I’ve seen her play whether it's the Badger team camp or Charger Rally. Sesolak have over 200 kills, hitting over .300 and has 80 blocks on the year.

Sarah Langlois - River Falls - Middle Blocker

Schult and Sesolak definitely have the power from the middle, where Langlois has a game of speed and quickness. Langlois has been kind of a sneaky “X-Factor” for the Wildcats this season. With so much attention to the pin hitters and middles of Anna Wolf and Haley Graetz, the Wildcats have been able to run an offensive system with middles playing some right side as well. Langlois has over 100 kills and over 80 total blocks on the season.

Darragh Dixon - Waukesha West - Setter/Right Side

The left handed setter combination is deadly. Dixon can set and swing for the Wolverines and also play really solid defense in the front and back court. So far this year, Dixon has over 100 kills, is second on the team in digs with just under 300, and has nearly 500 assists. Players like Dixon are such a solid catch at the next level because she is an all around player who can handle the ball, but also score points.

Morgan Jensen - Sun Prairie - Libero

Sun Prairie has a ton of fire power all the way around, but from watching them at the Charger Rally, I was really impressed with their libero Morgan Jensen. So scrappy. Their whole team is and I always feel like that standard is set from the libero. Jensen has 461 digs on the year for the Cardinals and has been a huge piece of the puzzle in them getting their high powered offense going. Such a fun team to watch!

Grace Peyron - Burlington - Right Side

Peyron is a true right side who can put up a solid block and a left handed swing. A type that plenty of Division 3 schools would love to have on the roster who comes from a strong club program in Milwaukee Sting and a high school program that knows how to win. Fundamentally sound.

Nicole Martin - Greendale - Outside Hitter

The Senior class for Greendale has ended their season every year at the state tournament. Nicole Martin was on the team way back in 2015 as a Freshman and is having quite the Senior year. With 361 kills and 259 digs she is an all around player that has had great success on the club and high school level.

Mati Jakscht - East Troy - Libero

Over 500 digs. Wow. Remember a dig is when an attacker makes an aggressive attempt, its not every single time the libero touches the ball. To fit that in one season is quite the feat. East Troy also has Izzy Martino who has over 200 kills and 300 digs. This team is solid and will be really tough to beat for three sets.

Gabi Roemer - Little Chute - Setter

Roemer is averaging almost 11 assists per game and the combination of her and Senior, Hannah Vanden Berg has been tough to stop. Vanden Berg has over 700 kills and is setting records that may never be broken, but you still need a setter who is in the right position, Roemer is the one for the job and has Little Chute in the state tournament after multiple trips to the sectional finals.

Janae Antosch - Mosinee - Setter/Pin

Antosch does a little bit of everything for Mosinee. A solid all around player has racked up 487 assists, 212 digs, and 271 kills. She is also a threat to score from behind the service line with over 70 aces. Mosinee was a top ten team all year and went through their conference undefeated. They advanced to the state tournament with a four set victory over Bloomer.

Carissa Egelseer - Kettle Moraine Lutheran - Setter

KML has really solid and dynamic athletes in every position with Ari Miller in the middle getting a bulk of the sets and Elle Truckenbrod on the pin who is only a Sophomore and is having a breakout season. Behind all of these hitter needs to be a setter who can put them in position to score. Egelseer is nearing the 1,000 assist mark on the season. The Chargers are on a solid streak since winning the Neenah Invite where they played Neenah, Appleton North, and Sun Prairie.
