Who’s Hot? Part 2 #5-#8

<p>Now for Part 2 of our look into which teams are carrying the most momentum into the post season.  Who doesn’t like a win streak?  And at this point, it’s win or go home!  Let’s look at some teams that are going into the playoffs hot!</p> <p><strong>#8 - Mukwonago – 11-Match Win Streak</strong></p> <p>Mukwonago is another team that has not lost since The Sprawl, but they’ve had some tough fights to get there.  Mukwonago went to deciding sets with East Troy, Kettle Moraine, and Wauwatosa East. With a 30-9 record, the Indians earned a #1 seed in Sectional 8 with a first round bye and will also have 9 days match-free, so time will tell.  Mukwonago will have to wait to see if they will take on Waukesha North (#8) or Milwaukee King (#9).</p> <p><strong>#7 - Lourdes – 13-Match Win Streak</strong></p> <p>After a 3-4 start on their season, the Knights went on a 6-match win streak before dropping a deciding set to Manitowoc Lincoln.  That must have been enough motivation to light a fire for another 11-match win streak before losing at the UW Oshkosh Showdown on September 15^th.  They haven’t lost since.   The Lourdes 34-7 record got them a #2 seed in the Reedsville half of Sectional 4 in the Division 3 bracket.  Lourdes will take on Winnebago Lutheran (#15) in the first round.</p> <p><strong>#6 - Catholic Central – 15-Match Win Streak</strong></p> <p>Catholic Central had no problem winning the Metro Classic Conference and only dropped a single set in the process while going 12-0.  The last time the Hilltoppers took a match loss was September 15^th against Notre Dame Academy.  Fifteen matches later, Central has a 32-7 record and the #2 seed in Catholic Central half of Sectional 4 in the Division 4 bracket.  The Hilltoppers will take on Madison Country Day (#15) in the first round.</p> <p><strong>#5 - Wausau West – 17-Match Win Streak</strong></p> <p>This is not a team that is easily beaten twice... or beaten twice at all this season.  West (31-3) has only 3 losses, and two of those they later returned the favor.  It’s safe to say they are very capable of making adjustments, and they’ve been making the correct ones to be undefeated since September 13^th.  They've gone over a month without a match loss.  This has included a couple of 5-set matches against conference opponents, so it certainly hasn’t come without a fight.  The Warriors are seeded #3 in Sectional 1 of the Division 1 bracket and will face Menomonie (#14) on Thursday, October 18^th.</p> <p>Top 4 win streaks coming soon!</p>
