Using MaxPreps Wisconsin stat leaderboards we kept an eye on how hitters performed through the season. We talked about 6 attackers yesterday but here are 5 more attackers that did some damage as well as the final leaderboards of the 2018 season.
Mazie NagelMazie Nagel – 2019 – 5’11 – Outside Hitter – Stratford
Stratford took the Marawood-South Conference title after going 5-0. In 2018 Nagel led the Tigers with 528 kills and 342 digs. She also earned conference player of the year, Division 3 State All-Tournament team and 1st team All-State honors. Nagel is a competitive 6-rotation outside that finds a way to win and helped her team to a 44-1 record.
Rachel Aasby – 2019 – 5’8 – Outside Hitter – Lourdes – Committed to UW-Oshkosh
Aasby tallied a solid 512 kills and .316 hitting efficiency in 2018 to lead the Knights to a 1st place finish in the Trailways – East Conference. She also led her team with 76 aces and is a proven 6-rotation outside. Lourdes will lose 5 key pieces to graduation, so I’m interested to see how they do in 2019.
Katie Mattson – 2019 – 5’9 – Outside Hitter – Luck
Mattson had a solid 2018 campaign ending up with a solid .337 hitting efficiency. She helped Luck to a 3rd place finish in the Lakeland – West Conference. Mattson led the Cardinals with 64 aces and 490 kills, averaging almost 6 kills per set.
Morgan Radtke – 2019 – Middle Blocker – Elk Mound
Radtke has been a key piece to Elk Mound’s team. She helped the Mounders to a 24-13 record. Radtke was just shy of the 1,000 kill mark in 2018 after leading her team with 494 kills during the 2018 season. She also led with 86 blocks. Radtke and the Mounders took 2nd in the Dunn-St. Croix Conference behind a solid Colfax team.
Mariah Grunze – 2021 – 5’11 – Outside Hitter – Waterford
Grunze is a solid 6-rotation outside with a heavy swing no matter where she is on the floor. In 2018 she hit a solid .311 and 333 kills. Grunze helped the Wolverines to finish in the middle of the pack of the Southern Lakes Conference. She led her team in key wins against Kimberly.
