Seniors Shine at Wisconsin Top 250
The Senior year, so many cliche’s, so little time. We’ll save you the time and highlight the Seniors at the Prep Dig Wisconsin Top 250 where there were players of all ages, but the Seniors we had in attendance showed poise, maturity, athleticism, and a high skill level demonstrating how they will be a great fit at the next level.
Maddie Crowley – Ashwaubenon High School – One Wisconsin
Crowley is continuing to just improve each time I see her take the court. From seeing her play at WVA as a utility player to the Badger Team camp for Ashwaubenon and again this weekend, her best volleyball is ahead of her. A six rotation outside who just understands the game so well with high character and her priorities in line when to comes to playing for her teammates. She can score with power or with craft, and can pass on a dime as well. Strong showing to start off her club season.
Allysa Deates – SPASH – Wisconsin Ice 18 National
Deates was on a high school team that had over 30 wins, advancing to the sectional final to cap off a historic season for the Panthers. A right side player, Deates plays with a high level of intensity and is very aggressive. With a no fear style of play she has a high motor and IQ to hit the shot the defense givesher with power or using the high hands of the block. Her athleticism alone will be something to keep tabs on to improve the overall game in the gym.
Kaylee Lorincz – Waukesha West – Milwaukee Sting 18 Black
Lorincz is coming off a final four appearance in the Division 1 state tournament as an outside hitter with almost 300 kills her Senior season. At 5’10 and an aggressive approach she is tough to block with her power and athleticism. She has all the fundamentals and tools to continue to be successful and develop as a college player.
Grace Peyron – Burlington – Milwaukee Sting 18 Black
So smooth with her approach and a really high contact point, Peyron showed she can not only deliver in a run with back to back state championships, but Sunday for the showcase. A left handed right side, Peyron also puts up a really strong block on the right side being 5’11 and a solid vert. She comes from a winning program both in the high school ranks and club. Players who know how to win and are accustomed to a winning culture have intangibles that cannot be measured on paper.
Teah Roszkowiak – Kenosha Tremper – Epic
This was my first chance to see Roszkowiak live and I was very impressed. She is a very active and dynamic middle blocker who could also be an asset on the pin. The middle blocker can be the unsung hero of the team who needs to be able to close the block for their defenders to get a clean look at the swing, always be a threat in transition, and have a high motor. Roszkowiak is no longer a hidden gem, but someone who needs to be on the radar of college coaches.
Carissa Sundholm – Wisconsin Lutheran – Milwaukee Sting 18 Black
Sundholm was able to do what she always does on Sunday which is show her versatility and all around game. A prototypical six rotation outside hitter, Sundholm can play solid defense, make nothing into something, put the ball away and just make the overall team better. She will team up with Lorincz and Peyron for Milwaukee Sting 18 Black this year which will have a dynamite team this club season with multiple players coming off of successful high school careers.
