It’s the New Year and that means club season is upon us! Let’s us help you get to know some of the Iowa Prep volleyball players this season. Next up is Carroll Kuemper Catholic hitter Aimee Adams. Aimee finished her senior season with 425 kills, 362 digs, 26 blocks, and 24 aces. Adams was a 1st Team All-State, All-District, and All-Conference performer and she will be continuing her playing and academic career next year at the University of South Dakota. Aimee is playing with Powerplex Volleyball Club this season.

Q) What do you most look forward to in 2019?

A) "I most look forward to starting the next chapter in my life. I am so excited to start it at South Dakota to pursue my dream of playing college volleyball and studying nursing. It will be a year full of ends and new beginnings."

Q) Who or what would you most contribute your volleyball success to?

A) "I would most contribute my volleyball success to my coaches and teammates. The coaches that take so much time out of their day to watch and teach you to succeed do not get enough credit. Also, volleyball is not a one person game, which means my teammates have huge contribution to my success. I could not have done it without them pushing me every day. Lastly, club volleyball, traveling to different states, and the weekly four hour round trips for practices would not have happened without my parents. Their support for me was and still is unreal as I tackle my volleyball career."

Q) What is your most favorite thing about the club volleyball season?

A) "My most favorite thing about the club volleyball season is making new friends and learning a higher volleyball IQ. I love how the competition is stronger because it makes me a better player. Traveling to different parts of the U.S. also makes the experience of club volleyball fun."

Q) Favorite way to waste time and why?

A) "My favorite way to waste time is either sleeping or watching movies. With my life going 100 mph, I love to sit back and feel relaxed. Sometimes I even think that my bed is my best friend! Freshly showered, warm clothes on, covered in many blankets, and watching a movie is one of my favorite things to do to waste time."

Q) Favorite club tournament and/or city and why?

A) "From where I have been so far, I would have to say Chicago or Anaheim, California. Chicago is a fun place to visit, but I would never be able to live there. In Anaheim, the weather was so nice and we were surrounded by palm trees everywhere. In both cities, there were so many attractions to visit between days of the tournament."
