Q) What do you most look forward to in 2019?
A) “This year being my first year playing club, I’m really looking forward to playing in big tournaments with my team. From the beginning of the season, to now, and so on, my teammates and i have gotten so close and playing in different cities, against different teams at such an elite level of competition seems really exciting to me!”
Q) Who or what would you most contribute your volleyball success to?
A) “For the 5 years I have been playing this sport, I have never had a coach or teammate that wasn’t supportive. Also, being a multiple sport athlete, being coachable and being able to accept constructive criticism, helps me succeed in every activity i’m a part of! So i would have to contribute my success to my coaches and teammates who push me to be my best during every practice and game!”
Q) Most Underrated Netflix Series?
A) “Designated Survivor. People I’ve talked to think it’s all about government stuff and I am FAR from a government and political person and I absolutely am obsessed with the show. 11/10 would recommend, LOL!”
Q) What is your most favorite thing about the club volleyball season?
A) “With the season not even half way over, I am really proud to say that my favorite part is my team and my coach. Being the “ newcomer” everyone is so accepting and welcoming. Practices and tournaments are so enjoyable because playing at a high level with people who I’ve gotten so close with just makes the experience so much more worthwhile.”
Q) Best Team Bonding tradition you’ve experienced?
A) “Our coach, Jonny, stresses the importance of taking care of ourselves and our bodies. Each multiple day tournament, we do team “ice baths” (where we jump and freeze in the pool, then relax in the hot tub and repeat). This past tournament in Kansas City, it wasn’t exactly the warmest outside. After our first day playing (and we played very well as a team) we get back to the hotel, rush to the pool, and get in. We erupt in laughter and that’s when i realized that this team is my second family.”
