Continue ReadingJanuary is winding down, but the Club season is just starting to warm up! Let us help you get to know some of the Iowa Prep Players this season! Next up is Johnston’s Taylor Ricke! Ricke led the Johnston offense with 761 asssits, 153 digs, 36 aces, and 29 kills. Taylor will be continuing her academic and playing career next season at Iowa Central Community College. Taylor is playing for IPVA this season.
Q) What are you most looking forward to in 2019?
A) “The things I look forward to most in 2019 would have to be graduating and moving on the next path after high school, and getting to meet and make new friends in college.”
Q) To what or who would you most contribute your volleyball success?
A) “I would contribute most of my volleyball success to my parents, they have allowed for me to go to camps and practices and games and if it wasn’t for them I wouldn’t have made it to all of those things to become the player I am today!”
Q) What is your favorite part about club volleyball season?
A) “My favorite part about club season is making new friends. I have found that I the girls I have played club with have became friends that I will have for the rest of my life.”
Q) What is the most underrated Netflix series?
A) “I think the most underrated Netflix show is the Carrie diaries. It’s so realistic and easy for high school girls to relate to!!”
Q) What is your favorite way to waste time?
A) “My favorite way to waste time is to binge watch my new favorite show on Netflix or to play candy crush!!”
Q) What is the best team bonding experience you’ve had?
A) “The best team bonding tradition I’ve done would have to be at every over night tournament out of town the team and I always find a room and tell stories and get to know each other better to become better friends on and off the court!!”
Q) What is your favorite club tournament or city?
A) “My favorite club tournament would have to be Chicago last year, we where all such good friends it didn’t have any cliques and no one was ever left out. We went and walked the city and got to eat some food we don’t have around here, and we got to go to one of the tallest buildings in the city. It was just a lot of fun because we were always together and became even closer friends then before we had went.”
