With the 18s season coming to an end sooner than the rest of the club season for younger age groups, the bid tournament takes place much earlier. The USAV 18s Girls Junior National Championships takes place April 26-28 in Dallas.
Great Plains Region teams will be competing for one bid to the National Division and one bid to the American Division. The bid tournament to determine the teams that qualify is scheduled for Sunday in Omaha and will be a double-elimination tournament.
Only five teams from the region are competing in the tournament. Premier 18 Gold, Premier 18 Black, Nebraska Juniors 18 Black, Nebraska Juniors 18 Red and MVP 18 Blue. Although MVP is out of Sioux City, Iowa, it competes in the Great Plains Region – which is made-up my a vast majority of Nebraska teams.
The winning team of the bid tournament will be able to accept a bid to the National Division while the second-place team will be able to accept a bid to the American Division.
Once the official schedule is posted for the bid tournament, we will bring it to you.
