Most of them will end their seasons this weekend at the USAV Nationals held in Dallas, Texas. Many of these athletes have been playing club volleyball since they were 12 or possibly even younger. They have been leaders on their high school teams and developed as athletes and leaders during the club season. Every athlete deserves recognition so I will just be covering teams as a whole. Here is one last look at the teams competing.
18 American
Milwaukee Sting 18 Black
This is a determined team that fights for every single point. They work extremely hard and it shows both in their team success and individual skills. This is a team that has grit and uses it to their advantage. Every one of the talented athletes will be playing collegiately.
Motion Volleyball 18 Blue
It has been so fun to watch the athletes on this team develop. They have individual successes, including many of the athletes committed to playing in college next year, and have had a great season as a team.
18 National
1W 18-1
This team has some very impactful players and excels on offense. They also have a scrappy defense that helps set their offense up for success.
Capital 18 Adidas
Capital has some truly talented athletes. Every time I have seen them play, I have been impressed across the board. They bring an intensity to every game that some teams struggle with. It is exciting that all of their graduating athletes will be continuing their volleyball careers in college. Caroline Craig is a junior who has another year of club and high school yet to play!
18 Open
FC Elite 18 Navy
Every single one of these athletes will be playing collegiately including Marquette, Madison, Arkansas, Loyola, and more. Setter Brooke Mosher is only a sophomore and has a few more years of club volleyball before she will be playing and the University of Illinois. This team is a well-oiled machine with a lot of offensive power.
Milwaukee Sting 18 Gold
Another team with every athlete playing collegiately. This Sting team has great energy on the court. They compete at an extremely high level and have fun doing it. Every single point gets them excited and they have a lot of chemistry. You can tell this team has fun playing together and pushing each other to improve every time they step on the court.
18 Patriot
1W 18 Elite
1W 18 National
This 1W has great court awareness. They have speed and a wide array of skills that they use to make big plays. They cover the court extremely well.
Epic 18 Black
Epic 18 Black can be a frustrating team for opponents because they are so incredibly scrappy. They manage to get a hand on every ball and then make an impactful play off of it.
Next Level VBC G18Green
NWVB1 18-1
RVA G18 Navy
SWVBC G18
Every single athlete competing has had a positive impact on the sport of volleyball and many will continue to do so whether they are playing volleyball in college, continuing to play club volleyball in college, participating in intramurals, or maybe even coaching or reffing. Thanks to the class of 2019 for your hard work over the years and the leadership you have provided.
