Their recruiting journey can’t officially start for another year, but they can start attending camps, getting a feel for the next level. I’ve been fortunate enough to watch these athletes live across multiple events and feel like these names along with plenty of their teammates would be great to get on campus.
Taylor Berg Taylor Berg 5’9″ | OH Marist | 2027 IL is electric on the pin. She is a dynamic, fast paced athlete who is everywhere on the court where she plays with an aggressive style from how she had really protect the floor to scoring points on the pin. She has been a huge part of the success of 1st Alliance 15 Gold who has punched their ticket to the 15 Open division at USAV Nationals in Vegas in July. What makes this team so good is how athletic and well rounded they are in terms of volleyball skill. They have multiple players who can contribute in multiple positions. They will be fun to see compete at the Prep Dig Gauntlet in Milwaukee June 8-9.

This Michio 15 National team is so fun to watch. I was extremely impressed with them at the Windy City Qualifier where they advanced to a day two gold pool of 15 Open. Tierney Fill Tierney Fill S IL is one of their setters who was so solid with her ability to play defense and get her attackers the ball to terminate. She has great footwork and soft hands for a smooth release. Michio is very balanced and has plenty of terminal attackers where Fill can do her thing and set them up for success.
Fleegle has had quite a freshman season, being the libero for Libertyville Varsity who was one of the final eight teams in the Illinois large school division. She is also the libero for Sky High Elite 15 Adidas who was a high powered team in 15 Open at the Windy City Qualifier. With Fleegle commanding the backrow, she was able to this their side of the net in system for the likes of Payton Scifres Payton Scifres 6’0″ | S Westosha Central | 2027 WI to do her thing as a setter. Fleegle can take pace off the ball, anticipate the shots, and has a real presence in serve receive.

Robertson plays for VC United out of Rockford, Illinois and had a standout freshman season at Durand High School, a small high school Northwest of Rockford, near the Illinois/Wisconsin border. She was quite the duo during the high school season with her older sister Rhiannon Robertson Rhiannon Robertson 6’1″ | OH Durand | 2024 State IL who is an NDSU commit. Lola Robertson Lola Robertson OH Durand | 2027 IL has a mature game. She has length, athleticism, and power where she can score from any front row position on the court. Her upside is dangerous as she has the makings to be a terminal attacker at the next level.
Van Lannen has been the captain of the backrow for FC Elite 15 Navy who has a bid to the USAV 15 National Division. She is extremely well trained with how she controls her platform and is very consistent in serve receive. Her volleyball IQ is very mature for the 15s level. She comes from a volleyball family where her twin sister Harper Van Lannen is also on the 15 Navy squad, and her older sisters being Emerson Van Lannen Emerson Van Lannen 5’10” | S Appleton North | 2024 State #144 Nation WI (Class of 2024 – committed to Kansas State) and Bella Van Lannen (currently at Northern Colorado). This Van Lannen Quads team will be dangerous someday.
Lauren Van Wie Lauren Van Wie S WI , a setter/right side for Waunakee High School and Madtown Juniors has some volleyball lineage as well. Her older sister, Morgan Van Wie Morgan Van Wie 6’0″ | S Waunakee Community | 2024 State WI is heading to play at Wisconsin this fall. Lauren Van Wie Lauren Van Wie S WI has plenty of tools and a solid skill foundation where she will be one who can develop into a must see prospect from Wisconsin’s Class of 2027. She has length, athleticism, and the ability to create plays for her side of the net. She was impressive for Madtown 151 National at the Windy City Qualifier.
I’m buying stock in Taylor Wold Taylor Wold 5’9″ | S Arrowhead | 2027 WI who has been a key cog for the success of Milwaukee Sting 15 Black all season. She is a dynamic setter who can run the 5-1, 6’2, and attack on the right side. She has quite the range of skills where she was a big time player for Arrowhead High School, a large division school in suburban Milwaukee. MKE Sting 15 Black currently has a bid to Vegas in the 15 American Division. They have consistently been a final day, gold bracket team and I think they could make a lot of noise in this division in July.

I AM VBC in the North Milwaukee area has been making a lot of waves across multiple age groups in the Badger Region and beyond. They recently won the Prep Dig Madness in Miltown taking down a powerful Iowa Select team in the championship. Degner has shown she can attack from multiple positions in the front row and she always finds way to hit the ball square. She is a big time scorer for the team and can also set a strong block. This will be a group of 2027s to keep an eye on with the girls from I AM VBC.
