Continue ReadingAs the Class of 2019 is in the process of finishing their final club season, it’s easy to be impressed with the amount of talent coming out of Minnesota that is heading to play at the next level. Many of these players have been competing with and against each other for a long time. Their once deep rivalries have blossomed into friendships. It’s not uncommon to hear players at the net calling out their opponents by name — relaying their tendencies and alerting teammates as to what play they might be running next.
It’s no surprise that the NSIC focuses heavily on MN kids. It’s a win-win for the student-athlete: They can stay closer to home, but still compete in the best conference in the country for Division II Volleyball. And the NSIC coaches benefit because MN has a reputation for being a hot-bed of talent.
2019 is no different. This year the NSIC boasted 31 commitments in the 2019 class from Minnesota alone. Below we breakdown who’s going where.
