Setter Spotlight: Abby Zehr

<p>Meet <strong>Abby </strong>, a young, capable setter from Totino Grace High school.  At 5’7” she is only a freshman with a lot of experience and even more time to grow.  Most recently, as a member of the MN Select 15-2's.  </p> <p>  This season has been a big stepping stone for Zehr.  We anticipate her time playing with teammates <strong style="font-size: 1rem;">Samantha Brendon </strong><span style="font-size: 1rem;">and</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;"> </span><strong style="font-size: 1rem;">Sierra Moore this club season </strong>will increase her court time with her high school team this up-coming fall.  The TG Eagles hope to improve on their 17-10 record from 2018.  They graduated their two leading setters so there is room for Abby to make an impact.  </p> <p><span style="font-size: 1rem;">    Her specialties include: high sets to the outside, quick sets in the middle, and her defense and passing form.   It is great to see a player like Abby go to MN Select and have strong training to become a well-rounded athlete.  This will serve her well in the future in case a coach chooses to use her for defense more than setting.  She also has potential to be a smart outside hitter.</span></p> <p>  Abby sets a fast pace game when on the court.  Her ability to chase down balls and make great plays out of nothing feels like that of an older player.   She's been recognized by PrepDig.com being named on our watch list.  Abby and her team are not done yet, with schedule stretching well into June; finishing with Nationals in Orlando.  <span style="font-size: 1rem;">  </span></p> <p>To watch her evolve into a premier player be sure to follow her <a href="http://www.hudl.com/team/v2/373622/152">Hudl page</a>.</p>
