AAU 16s National Championships Recap: VCNebraska 16 Black Ties for 5th in 16 Club

<p>ORLANDO - On the final day of competition at the AAU National Championships in Orlando, VCNebraska 16 Black made a valiant effort at winning a national title but came up just a couple wins short.</p>
<p>VCNebraska 16 Black advanced to the championship bracket in the 16 Club division on Thursday night with a 25-21, 28-26 win over Woodlands Revolution 16 in a challenge match. Then, this morning VCNebraska 16 Black started the championship bracket with a 25-14, 28-26 win over Pipeline 16 Nike of Illinois to advance to the championship quarterfinals.</p>
<p>In the quarterfinals, VCNebraska 16 Black fell just short in a 25-19, 22-25, 15-13 loss to Xcel 16 Select from North Carolina to finish in a tie for 5th place.</p>
<p>Here is a look at how all the teams from Nebraska did in the 16s age division at the AAU National Championships, starting with the most difficult division and working down.</p>
