With some heading down the road to Parkside and others to the likes of Tennessee and Kentucky, it is safe to say that Wisconsin prep athletes will continue to make their mark across the country.
Melanie Monaco – St. Thomas More – Wisconsin Juniors – Committed to UW-Parkside
Monaco is a dynamic six rotation outside hitter who will be heading down the road to compete for UW-Parkside. In 2018, Monaco led St. Thomas More with over 200 kills and nearly 150 digs in her Junior campaign where Cavaliers finished 18-17. Parkside is coached by Leigh Barea, who will be entering her second year in leading the Rangers and also spent the club season coaching at Wisconsin Juniors .
Cayla Gutche – Burlington – Wisconsin Juniors – Committed to UW-Parkside
All Burlington knows is how to win, get to state, and win again. In the past three years, Burlington has a record of 8-1 which equates to two state titles and a runner up finish. Gutche is part of a Senior class for the Demons that has definitely left a legacy on the program. She will be part of a program on the rise heading to Parkside which will also had Maddy Dokken from SPASH/Wisconsin Ice coming in as an outside hitter in the Class of 2020.
Mckenna Hall – Westosha Central – Epic – Committed to Carson-Newman
Hall is extremely athletic and will be such a huge asset to the gym at Carson-Newman, a Division 2 school in Jefferson City, Tennessee which is in Northeast Tennessee near Knoxville. Hall can play on the pin as well as lead from the backrow, a top utility player in the Class of 2020 in Wisconsin. Hall will be a major go to athlete who will serve a variety of roles for Westosha Central this upcoming season.
Karli Johnson – Lakeside Lutheran – Milwaukee Sting – Committed to Campbellsville
Johnson set for Milwaukee Sting 17 White this past club season and really showed her ability to be an all around athlete that can play defense as well as run a variety of tempos. She will be heading to Campbellsville University in Campbellsville, Kentucky, an NAIA school that finished the 2018 season with a 25-11 overall record, 11-2 in the Mid South Conference.
Ava Rebarchik – Sussex Hamilton – Milwaukee Sting – Committed to Kentucky Wesleyan
Rebarchik was teammates with Johnson this past club season for 17 White where they made plenty of connections running the middle. Rebarchik will be a key part to the Sussex Hamilton attack as well as a defender at the net this upcoming season. She will be heading to an Kentucky Wesleyan in Owensboro, KY, an NCAA D2 school that competes in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC). Milwaukee Sting and Greendale alum, Nicole Martin will be a Freshman at Kentucky Wesleyan this fall.
