Side Out Classic to Feature Some of Minnesota’s Best

<p>Since 2014, the Side Out Classic has offered some terrific competition and opportunity for some of the state’s best athletes and teams to take the court and measure their early-season progress. In 2019, the varsity event moves to Edina High School and will take place on three courts on Saturday, August 24th with competition set to begin at 9:00am. All three 2018 Minnesota state champions will be in action with Champlin Park (AAA) set to play highly talented Wayzata, North Branch (AA) taking on SW Christian, and Minneota (A) competing against Medford, a 2018 state qualifier. With 18 varsity matches scheduled throughout the day, other notable programs set to play include Stillwater, Moorhead, Caledonia, Eastview, and Maple Grove. Volleyball enthusiasts will have a great opportunity to see how some of the state’s top programs and athletes stack up as the 2019 high school season gets started.</p> <p>Several of Prep Dig’s individually ranked athletes from the Minnesota classes of 2020 and 2021 will be present along with many other athletes that will be called upon to fill bigger roles this season and will be showcasing their growth and development from the off-season.
