Cedar Falls High School from Cedar Falls, Iowa, home of Northern Iowa checks in at #23. Lakeville South , who finished 3rd in Minnesota’s largest class last year comes in at #18. A perennial Minnesota power, with one of the top players in the nation in Kennedi Orr comes in at #6.

No surprise that Eagan ‘ last=”]’ last=”] is among the best in Minnesota and even the country. This perennial Minnesota power was a state runner-up in 2018 and returns a large number of standouts from that team. Kennedi Orr is one of the top 2021 athletes in the nation, a setter committed to Nebraska will be competing next week for the USA Youth National Team. Besides Orr, the Eagles have 6’5 middle Kendal Kemp, one of the top recruits in the class of 2022 in Minnesota as well as other top 2022 athletes in Sienna Ifill and Samara Amador. Junior Abby Moe is a middle blocker committed to North Dakota State.

South came on extremely strong in 2018 to finish 3rd at the Minnesota AAA state tournament. South is propelled by some of the top Class of 2021 athletes in the state, led by Ava Moes, a powerful middle/right side who is so physical at the net. She is a gamechanger with her ability to split the block, power over the block, and really take away shots from the other side of the net. Jasmine Weidemann and TEagan ‘ last=”]’ last=”] Starkey are two strong Juniors, with Weidemann who ran a 5-1 last year in the state tournament, running a variety of tempos. Many of these athletes from Eagan ‘ last=”]’ last=”] and Lakeville South have found success at the club level from M1, MN Select, and Northern Lights Volleyball Clubs.
Alayna Yates, the Dayton commit celebrates for Cedar Falls.Cedar Falls – #23 – #1 in Class 5A in Iowa
Last season Cedar Falls went through the regular season undefeated and lost to Ankeny Centennial in the state championship. Centennial had five D1 players on that squad. Cedar Falls is back with some unfinished business. They bring multiple Division 1 athletes to the court starting with Alayna Yates, a 6’5 powerhouse who is one of the most efficient attackers in the Midwest as a middle blocker. Yates has committed to play at Dayton. Kacia Brown was part of the Eastern Iowa Xtreme 17 Teal squad who brought home a 17 National championship from USAV Nationals this summer. A firey outside with a heavy swing will be playing at Mississippi State. The Tigers setter is Emerson Green, one of the top athletes in the state who has committed to play basketball at Northern Iowa.
