Players to Watch Bronze Bracket – Wheaton Classic

<p>Among the field of 24 teams at the Wheaton Classic, there was a great deal of talent. PrepDig.com brings you some sleepers that could have an effect on their team as we get closer to playoff time</p> <p><strong>All Tournament Team<br /> Downers Grove North's Madison Cuchran</strong> <strong>(2021, 5'6, L)</strong> was the only player from the bronze bracket to make the team. She had a great tournament, leading her team to the Bronze Championship. Players to watch and bracket finals below:</p> <p><strong>Players to Watch<br /> Gwen Welkow, 2022, 6'0, OH, Downers Grove North<br /> </strong>For a sophomore, Gwen has a great arm swing, long approach and hits the ball hard. She has the ability to play all six rotations and they look for her to get the kill when the team needs it.</p> <p> <strong>Kiley Mitchell, 2020, 5'11, MH, Oswego East</strong><br /> It doesn't matter where the set is in serve receive, If Kiley is the front row, she is going to get the ball. They run her offensively in the middle, a shoot to the left slot or even a slide to the post, the ball will get to her hand and she will finish the play.</p> <p><strong>Emily Day, 2021, 6'0, MH, Metea Valley<br /> </strong>Emily has a great upside to her game. She has great sense of space at the net and can hit the ball both through and around the block.   </p> <p><strong>Cora Ondrus, 2021, 5'8, OH, Metea Valley<br /> </strong>Another of the junior movement at Metea, Cora plays defense as well as the ability to attack from both the front and back row. </p> <p><strong>Alayna Chavez, 2020, 5'11, MH, Hinsdale South</strong> <br /> A talented middle hitter, Alayna can also attack from the right side.
