<p><span style="font-size: 1rem;">As we rapidly approach the conclusion of the regular season in the next couple of weeks, weekend play continues to showcase teams in tournament format. This weekend Alexandria hosts a handful of teams, several including great individual talent. Here are five must-see athletes:</span></p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="71664" first="Kora" last="Kritzberger"]</strong></em> - MH | 2020 |Ada-Borup<br />
Helped carry the Cougars to the state tournament a year ago and is currently rated as the #30 athlete in Prep Dig’s 2020 class athlete rankings. She is very active on the floor from pin to pin blocking and in hitting from various attack points. She works hard to make herself available and is difficult to find in transition and defend given her added ability to swing her arm through multiple directions and with great pace on the ball. She is the backbone for the Cougars with her energy and leadership and sparks fly when she crushes a ball or throws an emphatic big block that drops the ball to the opponent’s court.</p>
<p><em><strong>Brittany Berge</strong></em> - MH/OH | 2020 | Belgrade-Brooten-Elrosa<br />
Scores a lot of points for the Jaguars as their primary offensive threat. With BBE’s mid-paced offensive tempo in the middle, Berge is very effective in front and behind off of one foot. She also has good vision of what is in front of her, which allows her to swing through the ball to go high off the hands, over the block to the deep corners, or around the block to the shallow wings. She can also score from the pins if needed. </p>
<p><em><strong>Mia McGrane</strong></em> - OH | 2020 | Alexandria<br />
McGrane is dynamic and competitive. She is also athletic and jumps well for being 5’7 and a primary outside option for the Cardinals. She has good slow-to-fast footwork and upon elevating she generates good power through a quick arm swing. She is also used through various attack points across the net. As a primary passer in Alexandria’s offense through six-rotations, she ability to create good angles and pursues the ball with good quickness defensively as well. </p>
<p><em><strong>Erika Roderick</strong></em> - S | 2020 | Alexandria<br />
Another senior that makes big contributions for the Cardinals. Roderick has multiple years of experience setting for Alexandria, <span style="font-size: 1rem;">providing great leadership to complement her distribution capabilities. She displays good hand position and extension to locate the ball consistently across multiple attack points throughout the Cardinals’ offense. She has good footwork to pursue the ball off the net to set out-of-system. At times displays good instincts to call her own number to dum</span><span style="font-size: 1rem;">p the ball strategically and good hand position over the tape to get touches when blocking.</span></p>
<p><em><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="72101" first="Chloe" last="Lieser"]</strong></em> - S/DS | 2021 | Rocori<br />
Lieser is a steady force with multiple tools. She can distribute the ball well in developing a dynamic and varied offense as displayed during her club season when she was surrounded by an athletic corps of hitters. Her ball control is a big asset in her skill set as she can pass well in serve receive <span style="font-size: 1rem;">with good balance and angles. Her defense may be one of the best aspects of her game with with good patience and quick pursuit and extension to the floor.</span></p>
