Izzy Decker, 2021, 5’10, OH, Nazareth
She was impressive and many times unstoppable. In the Silver bracket finals, Sandberg could not find an answer to Decker.
Zoey Seput, 2020, 5’8, S, Minooka
It’s easy to look at hitting as one of the reasons why Minooka is succesful but never forget teh setter. In this case, Seput is not a setter you can forget. She is able to make sets at a moments notice and supply the ball as well as athletic energy to succeed.
Gwen Wolkow, 2022, 6’0, Downer’s Grove North
Another sophomore which hits like a senior! This girl is really unbelievable. I’ve seen her play many times this year and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Wolkow lead DGN to a State Final.
Taylor Jakubowski, 2020, 5’8, S, Huntley
For as many talented outside hitters, there are setters in this tournament. Jakubowski is a solid performer helping Huntley to success in 2019
Briana Brown, 2021, 5’11, OH, Marian Catholic
Leading all hitters, Brown has 162 kills on the season. She is defintely their goto player.
Keegan Carey, 2021, 5’11, RS, Sandberg
Still struggling to stay up with the top of the pack, Sandberg looks to Keegan Carey to get those timely kills. The more success she has, Sandberg will eventually come around.
Skyler Misch, 2021, 6’0, OH, St. Charles East
As a junior, Misch is learning her role and is succeeding. She is one of the top kill leaders on the team.
Ana Calcagno, 2020, 6’0, OH, St. Francis
The six foot senior leads the team with 262 kills in 55 sets played. If your scouting them, it easy to see where there ball is going, but Calcagno still can’t be stopped.
