Currently, DeBeer and Rader are helping to lead Assumption in the 2019 KHSAA Volleyball State Tournament.
The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) announced the 14th annual Under Armour Girls High School All-America Teams on Wednesday, Nov. 6.
A record 894 nominations were submitted through the AVCA and MaxPreps, resulting in 150 All-America and Honorable Mention All-Americans. Many already committed to play collegiate volleyball at some of the top schools in the country.
Each of the First Team All-Americans will be invited to play in the Under Armour All-America Volleyball Match. It will be played on December 31 at the ESPN Wide World of Sports Complex at Walt Disney World (Orlando, Fla.) at 7 p.m. ET.
Along with DeBeer and Rader, three additional high school student-athletes from Louisville and a talented pair from North Oldham received All-American honors from the AVCA.
Sacred Heart standout Kristen Clemons was named a 2019 Under Armour Third Team All-American.
The 2019 Under Armour Honorable Mention All-Americans from Kentucky are Caitlin Carpenter (Mercy), Taylor Eisert (Sacred Heart), Addison Foote (North Oldham) and Brie Postema (North Oldham).
