Rutledge helped to lead Mercy throughout her senior season. Mercy reached the state high school championship match in three consecutive seasons. Primarily a defensive and serving specialist during her prep career, Rutledge recorded 43 service aces as a senior. In addition to Mercy, Rutledge, who earned numerous honors during her prep career, played club volleyball for KIVA.
Along with Rutledge, Austin Peay’s signing class includes Kaylah Jackson (5-8, Outside Hitter, Douglasville, Ga., Riverwood International Charter), Maggie Keenan (5-11, Middle Blocker, Franklin, Tenn., Lipscomb Academy) and Taylor McInerney (5-10, Outside Hitter, Annville, Pa., Palmyra Area Senior High School).
Austin Peay competes in the Ohio Valley Conference (OVC). In addition to Austin Peay, the OVC includes Jacksonville State, Southeast Missouri, Murray State, Morehead State, UT Martin, Tennessee Tech, SIUE, Tennessee State, Eastern Kentucky, Eastern Illinois and Belmont.
