A Few Throwback Articles In Honor of Prep Dig Wisconsin’s Two Year Anniversary
Prep Dig Wisconsin launched in December of 2017 just in time for the 2018 club season. With multiple classes ranked (and REVISED), articles, events, and countless hours in the gym, here are a few throwback articles of the first club season back in 2018.
In the past two years, a few things to note that have changed with a big impact for Badger Region Clubs
New Venues! The Milwaukee Sting Center is going strong with teams as well as events, hosting the Badger Region Qualifier as well as other regional events. The new FC Champions Center in Appleton will soon be a big host for plenty of Badger Region Events.
Recruiting: With contact rules changing, no longer are athletes who are in their Freshman or even Sophomore year allowed to talk to college coaches about their recruitment to that particular school. Two year ago it was common for a Freshman or Sophomore to accept a Division 1 offer which now is very rare with the new recruiting rules.
Badger Region Power League: Most clubs across Wisconsin would all head down to the Great Lakes Center in Aurora, IL to compete against teams out of Illinois and even Michigan at the Great Lakes Power League which provided strong competition, but fingers crossed you aren’t playing a 7 PM Sunday night match, followed by a two hour drive home.
