Schulzwell as athletes who are making their big splash on to the club scene. There are athletes where they have been well known over the past couple years, and others who caught the eye of Prep Dig writers that will definitely be ones to watch this upcoming season. Here are a few who definitely made an impact this past weekend and will be ones to watch in the mix for 2020.
Kaitlin Schulz – Impact 15 National
Schulz was a huge gamechanger on the outside for Impact 15 National where they were able to defend their home court winning the 15s division. Long and athletic, Schulz has solid ball contact where she can hit it square putting some zip behind her swing. Impact 15 National practices at the Champion Center and will definitely be a team to keep tabs on this season.
Ally Barth – Balance 16
Watching Barth run a slide is absolute money when she connects with setter, Maddy Fortune. Her ability to attack off of one foot is a really tough mismatch for the other side of the net. Balance brings a really athletic and gritty team with plenty of multi-sport athletes out of the Madison area.

Maya Wegand – Impact 16 National (Blue jersey title photo)
Just electric. Wegand is a six rotation outside who can do a little bit of everything. With a really loose arm and great leaping ability, Wegand can score points in bunches. Her intangibles are contagious for her team with her grit, intensity, and relentless pressure she puts on the other side of the net.
Eva Johnson – Impact 16 National
Johnson is long and really physical at the net. Johnson and Wegand are playing up an age level and fitting right in at the 16s. Johnson can put up a really solid block, but provides a solid scoring outlet on the rightside. With her and Wegand on both pins, it really stretches the defense along the front line.
Kate Henze – Impact 15 National
Henze was a major presence out of the middle for Impact 15 National. She can block and attack which creates a mismatch for the other side of the net. With a high motor and great energy, Henze was a major part of the winning weekend for Impact.
SatoriMary Satori – FC Elite 16 Navy
Satori finished the club season last year with plenty of momentum and has really elevated her game over the past year. Her versatility is just one of many strengths to her game where she has added a lethal topspin jump serve and is really developing a backcourt game as well.
Gwen Crull – Balance 16
Crull is a high flyer, her ability to sky and get to the ball quickly is the name of her game. Crull and Fortune have shown that the future of McFarland volleyball is very healthy after their state runner-up finish this past fall. The chemistry on this squad is really strong for January and as they continue to build off their strong weekend, it will be fun to see who they can compete with this season.
Marissa Corso – FC Elite 15 Navy
Autumn Flynn – FC Elite 15 Navy
FC Elite 15 Navy will have quite the lineup this year with multiple athletes hovering around six feet tall or more. Not only will their height cause problems, but wing span is even better. Corso and Flynn bring a really dynamic flare to this team where they have the length and quickness to close the block, but also get up and put a ball down. With Karissa Fortune, Kyla Dunaway, and Ella Demetrician on the pins, Corso and Flynn are a great combo to put in the mix to complete a really strong team.
