Home of back-to-back-to-back Kentucky High School Athletic Association State Champion Assumption High School, Louisville features talented young defensive specialists each prep season and club campaign. Louisville middle school programs feature many talented young defensive specialists.
Here’s a look at six Louisville eighth grade defensive standouts.
Brooklyn Campisano: A 5-7 eighth grade defensive specialist, Campisano is a student-athlete from St. Edward School. An athletic defensive specialist who excels in multiple categories, Campisano is showing the ability to lead. Campisano is competing for KIVA 14 Red in the 2020 club volleyball season.
Julia Frederick: A 5-3 eighth grade defensive specialist, Frederick is a student-athlete from Our Lady of the Lourdes School. Among the state’s most underrated eighth graders, Frederick is a proven performer as a defensive specialist. Frederick is competing for KIVA 14 White.
Charley Hill: A 5-4 eighth grade defensive specialist, Hill is a student-athlete from St. Patrick School. An agile player, Hill covers the floor well and is a productive passer in addition to possessing the ability to consistently dig opponent attacks. Hill is competing for Union Asics 14-1.
Hailee Mack: A 5-4 eighth grade defensive specialist, Mack is a student-athlete from St. Mary School. Agile and athletic as well, Mack is making a name for herself as a solid all-around young defensive specialist. Mack is competing for KIVA 14 Red.
Ally Magre: A 5-5 eighth grade defensive specialist/outside hitter, Magre is another student-athlete from St. Patrick School. A versatile player, Magre is able to deliver both defensively and offensively. Magre is competing for Union Asics 14-1.
Taylor Siegel: A 5-6 eighth grade defensive specialist, Siegel is a student-athlete from St. Aloysius Catholic School. A productive player, Siegel is an accomplished passer and digger who has shown the ability to contribute early in her prep career. Siegel is competing for KIVA 14 Red.
