Bastyr has a couple of things going for her that work in her favor well. First, she has good size and length at the net. Second, she has shown some good versatility to be able to swing at either pin position. Playing a lot on the left side for her Northern Lights team, she continues to develop fluidity in her movement patterns and more quality in the swings she takes. When on time and balance she can take a good aggressive swing. In other situations she has shown ability to take a controlled shot for placement and to apply pressure on the defense. She may be lower on the depth chart for Lakeville North this next fall given their trio of heavy arms in the middle and on the left side but Bastyr could be a critical piece down the stretch if she can consistently hold her own during her three rotations in the front row against the toughest competition late in the season.

Favor may be better than her #85 ranking given the quality of play she brings with the tools she possesses. She is a physical presence in the front row given her length, varied offensive options, and aggressiveness with her arm. She can be difficult to defend because she understands well what is available to her in transition and has awareness to adjust her approach patterns accordingly. Plus, she is equally effective in front and behind the setter. She will return to a Hopkins team as a key veteran for a squad that has some up and coming youngsters that collectively could have this team in the mix late in the season. Favor will be a good physical addition at the next level.

Dahlin is physical in the air and can create good pace from her fast and aggressive arm. She has good range of attack points as a middle that include swinging on or away from the setter through quick tempo options. Additionally, she can also swing for points from the right side overhead. Her movements are well connected to the flow of the game as she knows when to begin her transition work without wasting any time by first watching and then reacting. She engages these skills together, which allows her to make the right read offensively and be available to apply a lot of pressure on the defense across the net. She will be fun to watch as a key veteran member for a Minnetonka squad that will be looking to repeat their great success from 2019 during which the Skippers advanced to the class 3A semifinals.

Richie has good upside to her game. Her movements around the floor in the front row continue to grow in their intention and fluidity. She has improved her patience when blocking with good balance and eye work in her preparation, which is followed by a good first step to pick up the attacker. She turns and gets off the net efficiently with good recognition of the dig location as it pertains to the options available to her within the offense. She has a good skill set and works hard. She has some of the best potential to keep rising her stock as she moves forward through her prep career.
