About a month ago I wrote a piece about 2020s who were still uncommitted and need to be recruited ASAP. Now that a lot of players' seasons are on pause, we want to make sure they still get the exposure. So, let's dig in! The 5'9 all-around player improves every time I see her play. Truckenbrod has a solid game IQ and athleticism. She plays for Kettle Moraine Lutheran, and together they have a lot of post season experience. It's easy to see Truckenbrod is a sponge and willing to learn anything and everything she can about the game and has an exceptional drive to be the best she can be. She is a natural born leader and is a great communicator. Truckenbrod is always working with her teammates, whether it's in rally or just giving encouraging words. [player_tooltip player_id="33760" first="Elsa" last="Shepherd"] – 6'0 – Middle Blocker – Pewaukee – Milwaukee Sting 17 Gold Shepherd is a 6'0 middle blocker for Milwaukee Sting 17 Gold. She led Pewaukee to a 29-3 record in her junior season. Shepherd is a lethal attacker and a smart player who knows how to get her team a kill. She is consistent with her swing, smart with her shots, and has a competitive drive that takes her team to the next level. Josie Halbeib – 6'1 – Setter – Sun Prairie – FC Elite 18 Elite Halbeib is a 6'1 setter from Sun Prairie and runs the offense, with [player_tooltip player_id="21869" first="Brooke" last="Mosher"], for FC Elite 18 Elite. She is not only playing up an age but with a really stellar group. Halbeib tallied 1,045 assists in her junior season at Sun Prairie. She is a great athlete and is developing into a phenomenal setter. I cannot wait to see where she lands at the next level. [player_tooltip player_id="80730" first="Kayla" last="Lewinski"] – 5'10 – Outside Hitter – Hamilton – Motion 17 Blue Lewinski is a 5'10 outside hitter for Motion 17 Blue. This all-around athlete uses her solid ball control to record 127 digs and power to tally 175 kills for Hamilton her junior season. Lewinski is a dedicated athlete and has a lot of experience. But more importantly, she is really learning to read the defense and take the smartest shot possible. Lewinski can put her serve just about anywhere the coach asks and is not afraid to really get after it when the game is on the line. [player_tooltip player_id="56470" first="Lauren" last="Borchardt"] – 5'8 – Pin Hitter – Manitowoc Lincoln – FC Elite 18 Navy Borchardt is a 5'8 pin hitter for FC Elite 18 Navy. She is a 2021 grad from Manitowoc Lincoln and recorded 280 kills her junior season. She has flown under the radar and is definitely a hidden gem. Borchardt was the 2nd punch behind [player_tooltip player_id="10368" first="Katie" last="DiRaimondo"] for the Ships but could attack from either pin at the collegiate level. She elevates, has great control, and takes a strong swing. [player_tooltip player_id="56429" first="Lizzie" last="Binder"] – 6'2 – Outside Hitter – Sheboygan North – FC Elite 18 Elite Binder is a 6'2” outside hitter for FC Elite 18 Elite. She recorded 339 kills and 120 digs for Sheboygan North in her junior season. Binder is an all-state level player who was really coming into her own this club season. She is a strong attacker, blocker, and has solid ball control. [player_tooltip player_id="80714" first="Mariah" last="Grunze"] – 6'0 – Outside Hitter – Waterford – Milwaukee Sting 17 Gold Grunze is a 6'0 six-rotation outside hitter for Milwaukee Sting 17 Gold. She has a high volleyball IQ and finds ways to put the ball away. Grunze is controlled in serve-receive and smart playing defense. Not only is she a talented player, but she also puts out full effort on the court.   [caption id="attachment_88435" align="alignright" width="300"] [player_tooltip player_id="80729" first="Molly" last="Lawlis"][/caption] [player_tooltip player_id="80729" first="Molly" last="Lawlis"] – 5'10 – Middle Bocker – Pacelli – Wisconsin Ice 18 National Lawlis is a middle blocker for Wisconsin Ice 18 National. The 5'10 attacker recorded 231 kills and 45 blocks in her junior season for Pacelli. Lawlis is a strong player who can do some real damage at the net with her block as well as her swing. She's also found a new strength in her smart tip placement. [player_tooltip player_id="80723" first="Morgan" last="Yenter"] – 5'11 – Setter – Oshkosh West – Milwaukee Sting 17 Black Yenter is a 5'11 setter for Milwaukee Sting 17 Black. She tallied 858 assists and 154 digs for Oshkosh West in her junior season. Yenter is an exceptionally gifted player who runs an efficient offense. She excels as a leader and can maintain a balanced offense by moving the ball around with well-placed sets. The 5'10 all-around player is a 2021 grad from Wisconsin Lutheran. Tesch does whatever it takes when she gets on the floor, and she provides a voice of leadership, which makes it difficult to ever take her out of a match. Tesch takes her team to a whole new level.   [caption id="attachment_80961" align="alignright" width="300"] [player_tooltip player_id="80733" first="Robyn" last="Kirsch"][/caption] [player_tooltip player_id="80733" first="Robyn" last="Kirsch"] – 5'7 – Outside Hitter – Wausau West – Wisconsin Ice 17 Purple Kirsch is a 5'7 outside hitter for Wisconsin Ice 17 Purple. This dynamic player used her versatility to tally 418 kills and 355 digs for Wausau West in her junior season. For being on the smaller side, she finds a way to power the ball through opponents with her fast arm swing and insane jumping ability. [player_tooltip player_id="80726" first="Sammie" last="Seib"] – 5'7 – Outside Hitter – Catholic Central – [program_tooltip program_id='431479' first='Wisconsin' last='Juniors'] 17-1 Seib is an outside hitter for [program_tooltip program_id='431479' first='Wisconsin' last='Juniors'] 17-1. The 5'7 hitter is a 2021 grad from Catholic Central. Seib has really developed her all-around play. She's a strong serve-receiver, has a wicked serve, and is a quick defender. Best of all, Seib is clutch when it's crunch time.
