Here are five versatile 6th Region seniors-to-be.
Madison Cornell: A junior defensive specialist/libero, Cornell is a student-athlete from Bullitt East High School. A key player for Bullitt East during the 2019 high school volleyball season, Cornell recorded 302 digs and 36 service aces. Thriving as both a defensive specialist and a libero, Cornell excels digging and pursuing. Cornell produces from both the back row and front row.
Allison Holloway: A junior middle blocker/opposite, Holloway is a student-athlete from perennial state title contender Mercy Academy. Holloway was instrumental for state runner-up Mercy in 2019, logging 208 kills and 106 blocks. A leader at the net who has shown tenacity, Holloway reads opponents efficiently and blocks consistently.
Isabella Hughes: A junior outside hitter/defensive specialist, Hughes is a student-athlete from Holy Cross High School. Set to finish her prep career strong later in the year, Hughes is capable of delivering offensively and defensively. Hughes elevates well, finishes strong at the net and can deliver as a back row hitter as well.
Fallan Lanham: A junior outside hitter/defensive specialist, Lanham is a student-athlete from Mercy Academy. Lanham was a key contributor for Mercy Academy throughout its state runner-up season in 2019, posting 308 digs, 87 service aces and 209 kills. A solid all-around athlete, Lanham is a strong hitter from the left side and an accurate passer.
Jada Railey: A junior setter/defensive specialist, Railey is a student-athlete from Doss High School. Railey is poised to return to the court as a senior. During her junior season, Railey emerged as a reliable contributor and will carry momentum over into her final prep campaign. Railey runs offenses effectively and can deliver blocks defensively.
