<p> This year mothers of athletes all over will really get to relax, with all competition cancelled. However, we know there are at least a few excited for play to pick back up because they love the sport as much as their mini’s. If there ever was a mother-daughter volleyball event, these are the duos you would want to be in it:</p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt"><strong>Vicki Seliger Swenson & Olivia</strong>and <strong>Stela Swenson: </strong></span> These two athletes were coached by their mom this season on the MNL 15-1’s team. She is also the coach for <em>Hopkins Varsity</em> team, which will include these two 6’+ athletes again this upcoming season. Of course we remember her eldest daughter,<strong> Samantha Seliger Swenson </strong>- U of M grad and now professional player overseas. Likewise, she was helped raise and develop family member,<strong>[player_tooltip player_id="9718" first="Tara" last="Lee"].</strong></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt"><strong>Jenni Fisher Boettcher & Kaitlyn Steffes:</strong> <span style="font-size: 12pt">The senior<strong>, Steffes,</strong> from<em> Rochester John Marshall</em> has been a top prospect for the last few years having played at <em>SMV, Northern Lights,</em> and most recently<em> Kokoro</em> 18-1’s. </span><span style="font-size: 12pt"> She will play at </span></span><span style="font-size: 1rem">Iowa</span><span style="font-size: 1rem"> </span><span style="font-size: 12pt">Central next year. Her mom Jenni, was a talented player back in her day too. She played volleyball at<em> Rochester Community and Technical College</em> in 2000 where she went onto set records.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: 14pt"><strong>Jamie Winchell & [player_tooltip player_id="72052" first="Jaci" last="Winchell"]</strong><span style="font-size: 12pt">: Both are heavily invested in the Cannon Falls volleyball program. Mom, Jamie, was named the <em>AA Assistant Coach of the Year</em> last season and daughter Jaci, who was only a sophomore, passed the 1,000 assist milestone. </span></span></p>
