The Hottest Outside Hitters for the Class of 2022

<p>Outside hitters are the bread and butter of a volleyball team. They have to be well-rounded and have an extra amount of versatility. Pin hitters come on the team to rack up as many blocks and kills possible. Many times these outside hitters play a full 6 rotation game. They must be able to swing high and hard on out of system plays. These young ladies below have demonstrated that they play with height and heat on the net. </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="98919" first="Cailin" last="Demps"] - 5’11" - Outside Hitter - Leon</strong></p> <p>Demps is an impressive outside that plays for arguably Florida’s best high school volleyball team. She was the leading hitter that allowed Leon to take home the 6A state championship trophy. She has accumulated 436 kills at an efficient .268. She is able to use multiple shots to keep her opponent guessing. Her vertical jump reaches altitudes high above the net. Demps attacks the ball at such a high point of contact, she is difficult to contain. She also chips in with her back row skills too. She has dug 237 balls and counting for Leon. Her ball control and back row attack have proven to be effective time and time again.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="98920" first="Cianna" last="Tejada"] - 6’1" - Outside Hitter - Pine Crest</strong></p> <p>Tejada is an optimal player to have for any team. She is able to play in practically any position and executes it phenomenally. She is primarily known for her heavy arm on the left pin. However, she is lethal on the right side and the middle. Her approach is fast and dangerous. She gets up on the ball and unleashes an impressive amount of power. Besides her insanely powerful swing, she is also a shutdown blocker. She has provided Pine Crest with over 80 career blocks. She will soon head over to the University of Miami to continue her career.</p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="98924" first="Carter" last="Mogridge"] - 6’4" - Outside Hitter - St. Thomas Aquinas</strong></p> <p>[player_tooltip player_id="98924" first="Carter" last="Mogridge"] is a tall outside hitter that will rise to the top as her game continues. She takes advantage of her height by hitting right over the top of the block. She is infamous in South Florida for her incredibly hard-driven swings. She is able to reach so far that she can hammer the ball straight down in front of the 10-foot line. In addition to attacking, her block is also dangerous. She moves so well laterally and lines up perfectly on the left side. She was a key component in leading her team to the state championship in 2018 as a freshman. Her game is truly unparalleled to anyone else.  </p> <p>&nbsp;</p> <p><strong>[player_tooltip player_id="98926" first="Brianna" last="Anderson"] - 5’10" - Outside Hitter - Buchholz</strong></p> <p>Anderson is an extremely high flyer out of Gainesville, Florida. She is so effective in killing out of system plays. Anderson is known to deliver crucial finesse shots throughout the game. She has a fast and sneaky tip that throws off the opposing defense. She has also mastered an off-speed roll shot that is placed perfectly in the middle of the court. Anderson plays much higher than 5’10" on the net. She is an expert at tooling the hands of the block for a quick kill. In addition to hitting, she also is a skilled setter. Setting is a skill that comes in handy for any position on the court. If her setter takes the first ball, Anderson is able to make the second contact and usually earns an assist. She is absolutely a player to keep tabs on. </p>
