June 15 is the official date that college coaches can talk to the class of 2022, so expect some phones ringing off the hook as well as letters and emails filling student-athlete boxes.

Here are a few of the top right side players to get recognition early.

[player_tooltip player_id="61663" first="Logan" last="Grevengoed"],2022, 6’1, RS, Chicago Christian, Michio VBC
Grevengoed is the one player you key on to shut down her team’s offense. She is a blocking machine and can carry the load offensively. She can handle her on defensively as well. The only way Chicago Christian will fall short of states next year is if the team doesn’t come together to work together.

[player_tooltip player_id="61680" first="Emma" last="Harper"], 2022, 5’10, RS, Minooka, Uno
On a team that graduates most of their starters, Harper has big shoes to fill. She is tall and athletic, so look for her to accept the challenge moving forward.

[player_tooltip player_id="61622" first="Katie" last="Hurta"], 2022, S/RS, Nazareth, 1st Alliance VBC
One of the reasons Naz is tough to beat is who gets the ball to the hitters. Katie distributes it well and makes smart decisions. Down a middle last year, Coach Masterson, masterfully manipulated positions to put the best players in the best positions. Definitely, not an easy task. Hurta was one of the kill minders in the offense. The big question will be whether she sets and hits or just attacks. Definitely one of the biggest and brightest stars in this class.

TijanaKostic, 2022, 6’1, MH/RS, Lyon Township, 1st Alliance
What’s cool about Kostic is she is still growing into the game. Being capable of playing multiple positions will her to be very versatile for Lyons in the fall season. Her future is nothing but bright

[player_tooltip player_id="61623" first="Ella" last="Wrobel"], 2022, 6’3, RS, Plainfield North, Sports Performance VBC
Speaking of one of the biggest and best right sides in this class, you can’t forget Wrobel. She was a big hitter for Plainfield north in 2019 and this year will not be any different. Her swing and her block will keep her active at the net.
