They have worked hard and have been trying to stay the course during this difficult time. They will be seniors this year and will have one more chance to wow you with their play. We officially welcome them to the family as they are now part of the Prep Dig State Rankings!
Cameron Rogers Cameron Rogers 5'5" | DS/L Keller | 2021 State TX 5-5 Libero (HS: Keller/Club: Texas Pistols/Verbal: University of Louisiana at Monroe)
Cameron Rogers Cameron Rogers 5'5" | DS/L Keller | 2021 State TX is currently ranked as the 74th ranked prospect in the 2021 class according to our Prep Dig State Rankings. She is currently verbally committed to the University of Louisiana at Monroe. She is a very active Libero/Defensive Specialist on the court. She excels on serve receive and always keeps her platform nice and solid throughout the entire pass. It is always a superb angle that allows her setter to be a great position to set the ball. I love how quick her feet are when she pursues a ball that is well outside her range. She plays a “run-through” ball exceptionally well and creates a very nice angle while still moving through the pass. She is excellent at covering her hitters and is always ready for the ball that might be blocked. She has a wicked jump float and it is extremely accurate. She will be a great asset for ULM in the coming years. We are excited to cover her for her senior season.
Blakely Montgomery Blakely Montgomery 5'9" | S Cedar Falls | 2021 State TX [2021] 5-9 Setter (HS: Clear Falls/Club: Houston Stellar/Verbal: Fairfield)
Blakely Montgomery Blakely Montgomery 5'9" | S Cedar Falls | 2021 State TX comes in as the 79th ranked prospect in the 2021 class according to our rankings. This 5’9” left-handed setter has a great frame for the position. She contacts the ball high above her head and is able to still push it to every location on the net and backrow with ease. She has a lot of power in her quick release that helps her do that so effortlessly. She excels at setting very accurately behind her at all tempos. She jump sets regularly to keep her opponent off-balance. With her being left-handed they have to account for her setter dumps which makes her jump set lethal for the defense. She uses it to create some mismatches or timing issues for her hitters to score with. She will be attending Fairfield University and she will be a great leader for them as she brings high-level experience after leading her club team to USA Nationals in the past. We are looking forward to some great things from Blakely during her senior season.
Jacqueline Lee Jacqueline Lee 5'7" | DS/L The Woodlands | 2021 State TX [2021] 5-7 Libero (HS: Woodlands/Club: Woodlands Revolution/ Verbal: Texas State)
Jacqueline Lee Jacqueline Lee 5'7" | DS/L The Woodlands | 2021 State TX is currently ranked as the 80th top prospect in the State of Texas according to our state rankings list. She will be attending Texas State once she graduates high school. She plays for a high school program with a fantastic winning tradition, Woodlands High in north Houston. Jac has exceptional defensive skills as she can play both in left and middle back. She keeps her head on a swivel and reads the attack so well to put herself in the best position possible to play the ball. I think this is key for her. She transitions so well because she sees the play develop long before the setter releases the ball to their hitters. She uses her hands on the high emergency dig and can move her feet well to get balls outside her range. I like how she talks to her teammates during the play and directs traffic. She is a great leader on the court and it will help her high school and club team stay on their winning paths. She plays for a very good program in north Houston, Woodlands Revolution.
