4 Teams Who Were ON FIRE at the Prep Dig Sizzle

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Prep Dig Sizzle tournament is really the first opportunity high school athletes have had to hop on the court and play full out. Let me say, there was some truly impressive volleyball over the course of the tournament! The schedule for the tournament was pre-set as a safety precaution and to allow teams the opportunity to play a variety of different schools. Due to this, there was no “winner” of the tournament, but there were several teams that were on fire during both days of the tournament!</span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">Fox Valley Lutheran</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;"> I was so impressed with this team. Their defense and serve receive was spot on and allowed them to run a fairly fast offense. Each time I watched them I was caught myself nodding my head and thinking “wow.” This team has a talent pool that runs deep. <strong>Kennedy Schmitz</strong> had a notable performance today. Her coverage, defense, and serve receive was nearly unstoppable. This team had a 33-3 season in 2019 an only graduated one senior so this could be a truly great season for this team. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">Pewaukee</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Pewaukee looked like a well-oiled machine. They have a slew of incoming seniors who are great leaders and athletes including <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="33732" first="Jordan" last="Berglin"]</strong> (Prep Dig Rank #10, Committed to Flagler College), <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="80765" first="Hailey" last="Boelter-Eberhardt"]</strong> (Prep Dig Rank #86), <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="33760" first="Elsa" last="Shepherd"]</strong> (Prep Dig Rank #23), and <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="80773" first="Maya" last="Momcilovic"]</strong> (Prep Dig Rank #96) to name a few. Her leadership was apparent throughout the tournament. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="81321" first="Grace" last="Schneider"]</strong> (Prep Dig Rank #101) also played very well and was a big contributor on the outside and in the back row. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">Thunder</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;"> This team is making a name for itself as a powerhouse team in WI. Their fluidity on the court and high level of communication is a vital tool they utilize well. This North team is strong in all aspects of the game and showed that they will be a force to be reckoned with this coming season.  <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="57241" first="Brianna" last="Cantrell"]</strong> (Prep Dig Rank #2) is incredible all the way around and a leader on this team. <strong>[player_tooltip player_id="81261" first="Madisen" last="Miller"]</strong> (Prep Dig Rank #14) lead the team from the back row. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">The Sizzle was full of great volleyball, with big hopes for the season to come! Every team excelled in their own right and based on the volleyball from this week, it will be an incredibly competitive 2020 high school season. </span></p>
