Class of 2023 – Best Pin Hitters Outside the Top 50

<p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Pin hitters have a tough job. They have to be proficient in nearly every aspect of volleyball from defense and serve receive to hitting and blocking. They are also usually one of the more consistent and reliable athletes on a team. </span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">As incoming sophomores, these pin hitters have a year of high school under their belt and are looking to grow their impact on their high school this upcoming season. Here are the best pin hitters outside the top 50 in the class of 2023. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="91904" first="Aubrey" last="Berlowski"] - Kettle Moraine </span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Aubrey is a powerful hitter who can pound the ball. Her passing has improved tremendously over the past season and it will increase the impact she has on her team. Aubrey was a freshman on varsity last year and earned 16 kills, 11 aces, and 45 digs. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="91905" first="Coco" last="Barnett"] - Oregon High School </span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Coco is a solid athlete who sees the court well. She has good fundamentals that will take her far. She will be a valuable asset to the Oregon high school program as she continues to develop as an athlete!</span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="91912" first="Kya" last="Gahiji"] - Sheboygan North</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Kya is an amazing overall athlete. She has a great vertical and raw talent. Kya’s talent will only grow the more time she has on the court. She is very talented on the pin and on defense and is will be a great asset at Appleton North High School over the next few years. </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="82963" first="Greta" last="Wise"] - Green Bay N.E.W. Lutheran</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Greta is a puts up a great block on both pins and is aa solid hitter as well. She has a great foundation of skills that have set her up for a lot of success in the past few years. Her power continues to develop </span></p> <h3><span style="font-weight: 400;">[player_tooltip player_id="82949" first="Mya" last="Trafficante"] - Sussex Hamilton</span></h3> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">Mya is a bit undersized for an outside but makes up for it in her incredible vertical. Mya can swing over even the most well-formed blocks and is incredibly talented on defense. Recently, her high-flying abilities and her power have come together making her a threat on the court.</span></p> <p><span style="font-weight: 400;">There are so many amazing pin hitters in the Class of 2023. Their sheer athletic ability is impressive and as they continue to develop over the next few years will make a huge impact on volleyball in Wisconsin. </span></p>
